10 year old Remington has gone bang. Should I buy a parlux or a ghd? Help appreciated.

Both are good (not helpful!)

I've got a ghd dryer and find it excellent. Can't say the same for my ghd straighteners, sadly. Great when they work, but have had them replaced twice. Ghd customer service is good though.

My Parlux hairdryer is brilliant except for the bloody diffuser falling off as it doesn't screw on. It's made my hair look miles better though.

My parlux makes zero difference to my hair. Waste of 80 odd quid frankly.

Should have bought one for £20, and saved my money.

I have GHD one and I rate it.

I have a Parlux I got at xmas.

It's miles better than any other hairdryer I've had. My hair is really shiney and smooth afterwards. It's been fab for me.

I love my parlux! I have very thick, coarse hair, using the parlux transforms it into a swishy glossy style! Also, the drying time has been significantly cut down compared to my old hairdryers.

Parlux all the way! Been using them for fifteen years in the salon and at home. They are far superior to GHD in my opinion.

Parlux - had it for years on my hairdresser's recommendation. Really rate it.

Parlux. Had both. Use parlux professionally and at home. Although ghd is the better company if anything goes wrong.

I loath my parlux. It takes twice as long to dry my hair as it used to with my old babyliss (I'm still mourning its demise) and there is no difference to my hair. Don't waste your money on one!

I've had both but prefer my GHD one. My last parlux blew up so it's put me off the brand now!

I just bought the GHD for Xmas. It was terrible. The hottest heat was too hot & burnt my scalp. The lowest heat was not hot enough. My hair felt like straw after using it twice. The customer service officer was really rude. I sent the dryer back & they forgot to contact me after they had received it. I demanded a refund & they gave it to me. I will never but any GHD product again.

I'm really disappointed with my parlux, I was expecting a huge difference compared to the much lower powered dryer I was using before, but there was hardly any difference. Waste of money.

I'm thinking of buying a diva 5000 as I've heard good things about them.

Parlux is the best by far. Lasts ages too.

I have a Parlux which I love but it's very powerful. I bought my DD a GHD air for Christmas as I felt the Parlux was too string for her teenage her and should wouldn't be able to handle it.
They are both excellent but different in my opinion. The Parlux is very fast and powerful but the GHD is quieter, not as powerful but is hotter.

I got a Parlux 385 at Christmas; while it's not much more powerful than my old Babyliss, I do feel my hair looks significantly better; more volume, glossier. I'm very happy with it.

I am watching this thread with interest. I wanted to buy a GHD hair dryer, I am very happy with my straightener and I only heard good things about their hair dryers, BUT I just returned from a trip with my employer and I had to borrow her Parlux. I have lots of hair, but I needed only half the time I need with my Babyliss.

Well opinion seemed to be much of a muchness so I went for the parlux. Every single person I met yesterday commented on how nice my hair looked - that never happens to me. It didn't take long and still looks good today. V pleased. Thanks for the help all.Smile
