Potential disaster...

I'm going to the States in a few weeks and I have a sneaking suspicion (I'm actually in denial) that my Babyliss Big Hair won't work because of the voltage difference.
Whilst there are bigger things in the world to worry about this is potentially life changing. I haven't gone a day without it for a very vey long time and actually don't really know what I'd do with my hair without it.
Can anyone think of any alternatives? Battery powered something (that I could get through customs obv Shock )
Myself and my limp hair would be eternally grateful....

Could you not just use an adaptor?

Nope Jmangel. It's a different voltage-I seem to remember my hairdryer working but like on a quarter of the power.
I've been googling cordless things but none of them look like they do the same job as a Big Hair Confused

It will work but it will be very slow and not as effective. I ended up buying a US equivalent from a 24 hour drug store - I do travel to the US reasonably often so worth it for me.

That's what I thought GarlicBreadItsTheFuture. That's probably what I'll end up doing.
I was wondering if the Babyliss Cordless Styler did the same sort of job or not though?
