Lipstick Colour for a Winter?

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 17/01/2016 19:03

Can anyone give any pointers on a lip colour that's suitable for someone who suits Deep Winter colours please?

My last purchase was L'Oreal Cassis Passion (which I love but it is bold for daytime).

DH is going travelling and has asked me to give him my make-up requests. I would appreciate your tips thanks.

I use a red with a blueish tone iyswim, rather than scarlet.
True red/pillar box is also good.
If you like pink then you could have dark like raspberry or hot pink can look good too.
I have worn brown too, but more of a natural than chocolate or deep coloured.

Not sure if this helps though.

I've been loving Mac Darkside. It's very very dark and quite vampy but I love it.

I love cassis passion. In that range I also love Velvet Robe, though I last ordered it from Amazon, as I couldn't find it in stores. It's a gorgeous wearable red. Mind you, I wear cassis most days, so maybe my everyday is different. Clinique grandest grape chubby stick is lovely too. Mac plumful is quite subtle . For me it's a my lips but better type lipstick. Unfortunately I can never find it as dd1 keeps laying her thieving little mitts on it. Bastarding teenager.

But if your husband is buying you'll want something a bit more special I guess. Estée Lauder red ego is lovely. I think the rage is colour envy, but don't hold me to that.

L'oreal Milday is a clear violet colour , it's my 'my lips but better ' everyday colour. It might not be dark enough for you if you are a deep .
