Is Avene independently owned or do L'oreal, Clinique or another big cosmetic conglomerate own it?

Why? It's v hard to track why owns what in the beauty industry. Much of what you think is independent isn't.

Am sure if you really want to know you can try googling it yourself Hmm

Thank you. I did. But can't see if Avene owned by a big conglomerate.
Roc and La Roche Posay are.
I just wonder is it the same stuff in jars with different labels on and different price points ? Smile

OK a mere 5 seconds of googling and I discovered Avene is owned by a French company which also owns a number of other French brands such as Klorane and A-Derma.

You can do Roc and LRP yourself.

Just because one company owns a brand or two doesn't mean they use the same products.

Think cars- BMW makes Minis but a Mini doesn't look or drive like a Beemer.

Different holding companies operate in different ways.

For some the different businesses are very close and for others they are basically competitive rivals who have nothing to do with each other at all.

LRP is owned by one of the major companies- did find it- either P&G or L'oreal.

Avene is owned by Pierre Fabre (French lab).

Pierre Fabre is an excellent lab, btw.

Bioderma is another excellent lab.

Big companies can also deliver great skincare brands - Eucerin is a terrific brand.
