What to wear to a trade fair

I'm going to a trade fair in January and having never been to one before have no idea what to wear. I'm aiming to establish relationships with suppliers and want to look put together so that I'm taken seriously but feel that business dress would be too stuffy especially as the fair should be quite a "fun" one.
Thanks for any advice!

I don´t know what your industry is, but in general I find people wear suits or smart business dress at trade fairs. The face and neck area is key so that you look approachable, welcoming and professional so no mad, distracting jewellery. Hair out of your face, natural-looking make-up. Bear in mind you´ll probably be wearing a name badge (or similar) and that usually works best with a jacket.

You need shoes that are comfortable to stand in all day (and walk around in).

Also bear in mind temperature - those places are usually very hot and stuffy so you might want to have stuff in your handbag for freshening up halfway through the day.

Ah thanks that's dressier than I was thinking, thanks. Would a nice blouse and pencil skirt be OK?
