Best jeans for classic apple - big belly, no bum, skinny legs

Hi!

Am struggling to find jeans that are big enough on waist for my mum tum, but not baggy on the legs, and don't fall down.

I've been wearing bootcut jeans since the 90s but now after two kids, my belly wobbles and doesn't have the firmness required to hold them up. I'm sick of leggings which hold too much dirt/dust/hair when getting up and down off the floor, and need some hard-wearing, cat-hair-resisting jeans! I've had a lot of trouble with skinny jeans because at the size I get them to fit on my waist, they sag around my thighs and knees. I wear a 14 waist, except I find that when pregnant and wearing maternity clothes that are actually designed for a larger belly I can take a 10 or 12.

Anyone in a similar predicament found the answer?

Marks and Spencer jeggings are fabulous for apples. I've had loads of pairs and know that others on MN rate them too.

Ooh, they look very reasonably priced too! Might add a couple of pairs to my wish list!

Asda £12 bootcut jeans. Bought a pair when I'd forgotten to pack some when we were away. I'm same clothes size and shape as you. Omg the sit on my legs don't look baggy love them.

For skinny Primark and new look extra skinny. I can't wear normal skinny either too loose on the legs but they are a good fit. Primark pip new look a bit.
Now I'm going to slink out of s&b having never mentioned those shops. Grin

Gap always skinny are nice, as are fat face skinny ones. I love the m&s ones linked above and have had 3 or 4 pairs over the last 5 years in diff colours but the sizing is SO inconsistent when you buy online. Better to try on.

My M&S jeggings arrived today! I know M&S can be a bit strange with sizes so I got one pair in a 14 and the other in 12.

The 14 fits me on the waist but is slightly too baggy on the thighs. And it hasn't been washed yet, so it might loosen up further. Oh well. At least it's wearable, comfortable and doesn't fall down. Good suggestion, thank you!

Christmas is nearly here, and I do need something I can wear now, and the size 12 will probably fit me by the end of January... And I'm going to try the asda bootcut ones next!

Tempted by m&s sort myself.
For high end range I love NYDJ. Last years and no knee bag.

Gap Girlfriend jeans are fab I am apple and wide of waist, and the manager Nick in the guildford store recommended a pair of the Real Straight jeans which I have to say were such a good fit, I am recommending him as well as the jeans because he knew his jeans and that's rare to find in most stores, or try the Levi slight curve jeans, all jeans are £20 today in store. To think I was on the no spend thread Blush

I am a similar shape to you if a bit fatter! I have just bought a pair of next Skinny jeans. The cheaper ones at £20 and they fit fab. Nice and comfortable around the waist and I don't have to wear a belt which I usually do because as you say they slide down when you have no arse.

I also got a pair of slim fitting ones. A normal rather than skinny jean and I am happy with them too.

I have recently bought some Dorothy Perkins Eden jeggings too and love them. They seem to fit just right.

I know this is an old thread, but the suggestions helped me in my quest for some jeggings for a tall (5'7) apple shape, so I thought I'd report back.
I tried
Dorothy Perkins, Eden long - pretty good
Dorothy Perkins, Frankie long - pretty good
Topshop Leigh - too baggy under the bum and difficult to bend/kneel in
Jane Norman - too short but I'm going to use a pair as cropped jeggings for the summer
M&S tall - perfect for me! Only £15 and lots of colour choice. www.marksandspencer.com/super-skinny-jeggings/p/p22468863?prevPage=plp
