Thicker cotton jeans

As it's now Autumn I'm trying to find some new jeans. I have an old Boden pair and the weight was just right for winter. However, looking at their current offerings the fabric content has changed from 98% cotton to 89% cotton or thereabouts and I suspect these will be like all the other high street brands-really thin and quick to lose shape.
I prefer a straight leg to skinny, I'm also short but would be happy to buy regular length and take it up.
Any recommendations please?

I have recently bought some White Company jeans (NOT White Stuff!), the boyfriend ones, and the fabric is pretty heavy. They are not too baggy in style and they have worn well over a week's holiday when I wore them a lot. I think there is 2 % stretch in them, otherwise all cotton.
