Ha HA CV - forgot you are our closet Tory :)

I am beyond excited by next Saturday...... all the lovely crepeys (nearly) Hatty (not Harry) can't your leap on the Eurostar.

BeachysFlipFlops · 17/09/2015 13:54

You were keeping a careful eye there, CV - must admit, I'm not a fan (but not really a fan of most of them!)

Report
hattymattie · 17/09/2015 14:03

Dont worry CV - I'm a floating voter and although reasonably left wing, the labour party just lost me! (wonders if lib dems are ever coming back).

BD - I can only leap on the Eurostar at 150 each way. I am always on the lookout for promos but have to be on the ball and book 4 months in advance which makes things complicated. Otherwise it's the bus - and much though I love you all, my old bones aren't up to it, plus it takes all day.

BD and Crem - sorry things are so bad at work. Crem - did you not get any useful advice from your solicitor friend.

Oh dear, do we have a rift in our midst?

I am a non - partisan crepeys on the subject of thread titles!

Hello! Sorry for starting the other thread. I did look thoroughly for another thread before doing so, honest. Any reference to Corbyn is purely for comedy purposes, not politics!

I think it did happen once before - can't remember how we decided which thread to go for in the end.

I'm easy, whatever!

We could have discussed vests though. And BHS shirts. Very S and B Grin.

[I'm no fan either and I am a party member - I think a lot of people aren't but you can't say publicly so or you get called vile names].

Monty, I hope you had a nice(r) birthday in the end.

I really hope I can make it to some bit of the MU, and see/meet everyone!

Report
bigTillyMint · 17/09/2015 20:49

Hey Lalsy don't Diss BHS - they were the only place that had school trousers to fit DS!

Monty sorry to hear about your DH being so crap. Mine know he has to come up with a card and some dosh at the least or I'll chop his balls offWink!

Think I can get to the drinks as well on Sep (subs pls insert date).

Working in Budapest. Forgot to check forecast - it's 35 degrees Shock. I brought wool jackets. Had to nip out to nearest shops for lightweight tops.

Nearest shops were Max mara and Armani Grin. Nice change from my faded M&S t shirts.

Rubbish about jobs Crem and BD Sad

So looking forward to seeing everyone on the 26th! Thanks for the new thread(s) Grin

Monty, Happy Birthday! And sorry your dh has made so little effort.

Crem, your employers appear to be experts in dragging things out. I will keep everything crossed that things come good with the possible new role. BD, I am thinking of you often and hoping for some positive developments for you on the work front.

I am trying to think positively and creatively about my work situation, as I suspect a creative mix and match approach may well be the way forward. I have been busy-ish with my old work this week, but lost one job because I refused to deliver it at 9am and asked for the deadline to be re-negotiated to 1pm (so there was no expectation that I would work antisocial hours to meet said deadline) and basically got told to get stuffed. Then I felt guilty. Meh. Am on the lookout for part-time work in school, sorting out the paperwork for a half day of voluntary work in a school in the specialist area I want to work in, and looking out for networking opps and generally keeping all the plates spinning.

Darn it, Auriga, I fancy going to Budapest for work. It would make a nice change from my loft. Grin

Work has gone beyond farcical. I now really fear opening my email. The latest missive (announcing yet another change) was done with no understanding of the knock on effects. So we all went 'oh that means......' And it's by 1st Oct and no one has thought that means websites, links, systems, allocations.... Runs away screaming...

I think we are all reaching F it stage, the sad thing is we go down, we take the whole organisation with us because we are the cash cow...

New name for new fred, but you may call me molly. Grin Of course you may choose to call me Puff instead. This new name is pie-related. Sorry about your work situations, BD and Cremo, and WAF's dh. Sad Hattie, reports today are that LibDems are being courted by would-be Labour dissidents; although sartorially you'd think LibDems and Corbyn are peas in a pod. Still whatevs. There's a cartoon in the Torygraph today showing Cameron trying the vest-and-shorts look, asking SamCam's opinion. Grin

LOL at double-thread confusion!

My attempt to head off any Corbyn-related titles by swiftly adopting MI's excellent literary title suggestion was almost scuppered....

Grin - Rose - or should I say Major Tom - are you alright out there?

Thank god it's Friday, but I am going to paint round the front door which was plastered months ago by DH and has been like that ever since.

Had an amusing coffee yesterday with DF who is a bit woo. She's been trained in something where you get your head massaged and that frees up various areas of your consciousness and transforms your life Confused.
Her prices start at 50 euros.Shock. I think the head massage when they wash your hair at the hairdressers sounds a better deal Smile.
