For those of us who are odd sizes, don't want to spend megabucks ordering dozens of bras online & sending 99% back, and/or don't live near a decent bra shop.

I'm a 28E & like the Panache Cleo Maddie. I've also found that the Freya Patsy & Freya Deco Spotlight fit pretty well.

I mostly seem to prefer balcony bras, I'd love one without padding but can never get one that fits. The Minnie was too big in the cups & doesn't come in a DD.

The Minnie is much deeper than the Madden which is a shallow bra. You could try the Juna?

Ooh, thanks! I'm totally flat chested until I get a bra on, so that makes sense.

I am a 30 e or more likely a 28 d but can never find that size. I like freya bras but found some amazingly comfortable lepel bras in tk max

When I'm not upduffed I'm a 30FF in general and favour Panache bras. I'm full on top and favour the Envy and Andorra styles. If I want serious cleavage then the Freya Deco is generally quite good for that, also from the Bravissimo Satine (sized up in that though).

Yes please! Since interventioning I've been totally fine in Bravissimo own-brand and Panache, but recently discovered that none of the Cleo styles seem to work for me (all have odd sideways overspill in my size, but if I size up are definitely too big). Any thoughts on why, or discussions of what brands/styles are similar so I know not to avoid them would be very useful!

onlyherefor, if you're a 30E then the 28 band equivalent would be an F cup, not a D. All the big bust brands - freya panache cleo curvy kate bravissimo etc will have them.

Deianira - cleo are generally narrow with the exception of maddie and juna. Bravissimo have much wider roots as do some panache

Thanks Statistically, that's very good to know! At least I know what the issue is. Unfortunately the maddie and juna were no good for me either - do you know if other brands (Freya, Curvy Kate, for example) are likely to be closer to the Bravissimo widths or Cleo?

Sorry yes, that's what I meant

It's not totally standard unfortunately, but I'd probably give some Freyas a try.

Curvy Kate have historically had very wide wires, but are becoming narrower these days. If wider wires suit you then the older styles (Princess/Portia etc) would be worth trying, plus they are rather pretty. :)

Great, thank you both! That's very helpful. Will try some of those next time.

I'd love an alternative to the bravissimo 'starburst' plunge, I am a 34FF in that, but want a plain white bra. Only plunge ones seem to work for my boobs, thing they are too close set for a higher middle bit!

trinity how about the bravissimo satine? That's the plain version and I'm sure they do it in white or cream

Tried that on in the store and it just wasn't comfy at all. Did have a black one when I was a bigger size and it also wasn't right! Cups too big, yet fitted right, but covered too much boob

Freya deco?

32gg, recently bought the bravissimo bohemia bra. It is the most comfortable bra I've had in ages, I really like it!

Bratabase UK is a useful tool. They've got a swap section too.

So if I got a Freya deco, how does it come up size wise compared to a 34ff bravvissimo starburst? Do I buy the exact same size?

Report
goodasitgets · 06/09/2015 19:45

I would yes. It's not a bra I have heard comes up small/big, it seems pretty standard
Brastop website have a lot of nice plunge bras in at the min so worth looking on there too

Actually I'd disagree with goodasitgets - I generally find Deco cups run bigger than Bravissimo plunges.

I'd also look at Curvy Kate plunges - they tend to be quite wide which could work if you get on with starburst. I think daily boost comes in white.

Ooh interesting :D
I know they have reviewed the satine sizing recently as that used to come up big
The CK daily dream is nice, I have the daily boost and am eyeing that up!

One one trip, I remember buying a 30GG deco, and a 28J Satine...That was a while ago but the satine cups used to be notoriously small.

Yes they seemed to go from small to big - I have a 34J one that fits me at a 34K Confused
