Those little vertical lines at your top lip..

The ones that make you look like a 40 a day smoker, or someone who has a bad opinion on everything?
I'm starting to notice them on my face, and I don't like it. What can I do? Is it fillers, or Botox that gets rid? I don't want a trout pout, or even a bigger top lip, I just want these lines gone. The rest of my face isn't ageing too badly and I don't mind the crows feet, but this makes me look mean spirited and bad tempered, and mostly I'm not!

Botox can help with downturned lip corners by relaxing the muscles that pull them down so you look like you've got a serene little Mona Lisa smile going on. There may be injection points that will stop you from pursing your lips and getting those little lines, too.

Would a tiny amount of filler injected into the perimeter of the lips only, not the meat, help smooth them out?

I don't know MsBojangles, I haven't really looked into it yet..... I was hoping someone on here might have already found something that works.

Well I've tried glycolics and retinols and they do bugger all on those lines, so that just leaves the injectables {gulp}.

The Clarins lip perfectors are nice, they're very subtle colours but do give the illusion of filling out the lines, temporarily at least.

Can't you just use a cream? I use the Olay Firm & Lift targeted deep wrinkle treatment.

I have botox but was going to ask about those lines when I see my man Wink next time.

Have been most impressed at how Sharon Stone looks with fillers.
