My BBH exploded this morning. I don't suppose I can complain to them as is over 2 yrs old, but still, I don't feel like giving them any more of my money. (Hairdryer and Ghds still going strong after the best part of a decade Grin).

Does anyone know of a decent alternative?

It's a 3 year guarantee.Send it back and they will give you a new one. Do you have the receipt? The address is Customer Care,Conair Logistics, Unit 4, Revolution Park,Buckshaw Ave, Buckshaw VillageChorley PR7 7DW. I have lost count of the number I have sent back. They always send a brand new one. If you don't have the receipt phone them with the serial number and they will look it up. 0870 5 133191.

They always go pffft. But as sonata1 says, they will replace if you have a receipt. I didn't for my first one. Had to buy again. So now I keep the box, tape on the receipt and fling it in the back of the wardrobe . So I can always find it. Whatever about losing a receipt, it's harder to lose a big box.

Ohhhh - that's good to know. That's what I do with my Sonicare toothbrush. Although I do not have the receipt this time...

Can't guarantee anything without the receipt but it will tell them the date of manufacture so you still might be OK, Nothing to lose !

They replaced mine without a recipt and it was a month out of the three year guarantee.

I have to say that it is rare to find a company that offers a 3 year guarantee on an item that (in some cases) is used daily. I even sent back one of their replacements that died after 10 months and they sent me another one !! I know people on MN say they can find cheaper big brushes and the Babyliss ones conk out but hey.... they don't repair them, they replace them with brand new ones.

I'm on my 4th BBH - I bought 2 and have had 2 as (free) replacements for the bought ones when they burned out.

They're great while they last but their customer service is also Star.

Feckin nearly scalped myself with bbh last week, wound it the wrong way, my heid was burning and was in a panic so couldny mind what way to turn it!! one false move, phew pressed right button Grin

I still do ! Fingers off the buttons and manually extricate. I also seem to impale myself on long black porcupine bristles and have to pull them out of my fingers . Very painful. Using a BBH is a tough job but someone has to do it !
