Good jeans or trousers for massive thighs!

I am a size 12-14 on the bottom, 10-12 on top and am quite petite...only 5ft2 and look quite small and slender apart from my giant thighs and bum which is making finding things to wear on my bottom half very tricky! I am breastfeeding so most dresses are out...and I have so many lovely tops and jumpers etc but have no idea what to wear on my bottom half without feeling horribly self conscious that my thighs are giant and wobbly.

Currently I rotate a couple of pairs of jeans (DP's Harper skinnies and Next's relaxed skinny" but I just always feel like everyone is looking at my massive tree trunk legs! My thighs are not at all toned and if the material on the jeans isn't "thick" enough you can see every wobble of cellulite. I know, I sound dead sexy don't I?!

I really want a nice, reasonably priced, flattering pair of jeans that can be worn with everything (casual and smart) Help?!

I'm a similar height, size and shape to yourself and I've given up on jeans!! Sad The only ones that looked anywhere near okay on me were straight legged dark denim, but even then it was when I was at my slimmest, and they still weren't really the most flattering thing for me, when I look at photos.
The only trousers I wear now are wide-legged tracksuit bottoms, or other wide leg trousers. I used to have a great pair of knee length denim culotte shorts which I wore all summer and were fantastic thigh camouflage.
Mostly I wear flared/A-line knee length skirts over leggings..the only garments that seems to almost totally disguise my thighs!

I was afraid that might be the case! I just wish I could wear jeans...everything goes with jeans!!

Where do you get your skirts from? Being so short means that I just look frumpy in skirts unless they're tight mini skirts which obviously doesn't help with the thigh situation ????

I guess on the plus side we have good hip to waist ratios!!

I love boyfriend or slouch low rise jeans, nice & baggy but not too much, holds my wobbly butt & thighs roughly where they should be but doesn't point out my 'I had a baby girl & extended my arse & thighs by miles'. Sad as it is baby number 4 broke everything I had ????

I have only started wearing skirts with leggings in the past year....before that I was doing a lot of tunics over leggings/jeggings, but decided that also wasn't great with my thighs!
I have bought one skirt in Primark, in a satin fabric, one off Ebay second hand and apart from that have made a few as I do a bit of dressmaking. I'm unemployed, so don't have much to spend. If I did have money and didn't sew, I'd probably buy some skirts from Boden.

I find that, as long as you wear a fitted top with the skirt, it doesn't look that frumpy. A skirt above the knees would be less frumpy, depends how chunky your legs are just above the knee!

The other thing that's back in fashion is culottes...you could even wear them over tights in winter and they're really great at covering thighs.

Here's some culottes on Ebay:-

This skirt would be good over tights/leggings:-

Sherbert where are you getting your slouchy boyfriend jeans from?
Last time I looked they were selling 'boyfriend jeans' that were slim fit (so no use to my tree trunky thighs) Sad

Breastfeeding does amazing things for your thighs eventually but it does take a while so don't despair. Meantime l agree that skirts with black tights are far more flattering.

I recently bought a pair of bootcut jeans from Tesco for £16 that are actually one of the best-fitting pairs I've ever had. I don't even have to wear a belt to pull the waist in! Might be worth a shot?

These ones, Shodan? <a class="break-all" href="//|www.clothingattesco.com/womens-jeans/f+f-indigo-wash-bootcut-jeans/invt/jl521165" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">//|www.clothingattesco.com/womens-jeans/f+f-indigo-wash-bootcut-jeans/invt/jl521165

They look like they've got tiny knees! Are they bigger at the knee than they look?

How is Tesco sizing for adults? I've recently bought size 10 trousers from Dorothy Perkins - same from Tesco?

Oh bother.

Still not pretty, but should work at least!

Erm... I think they're the ones, Spindelina, but I couldn't say for absolute certain. The waist doesn't look that high , I don't think. They look much better on.

Sizewise, I am usually a 12-14 but tend to have to get 14 mostly, for the thighs, but the 12s fit very comfortably- there's a fair amount of stretch.

Word of warning though- don't ever tumble-dry the buggers. They shrink Blush

Peacocks slim leg jeans

You CANNOT be more pear shaped or more thunderous of thigh than me, and they are great. And £14

Second Peacock slim leg jeans. I'm the same height as you and have enormous thighs. These surprisingly look great and are really comfy. I've tried just about every jean, even some expensive ones, none of which have looked great, but the Peacock slim ones do. They're cheap too, as Hermione says.
