Facial sunscreen

Had a search and haven't seen a recent thread on this, so apols if there has been one and I missed it.

My current moisturiser doesn't have SPF, never mind UV protection and I feel I should start adding a separate layer every day. I don't always wear BB cream or foundation, and when I do, typically these products only have SPF and at about a rate of 15 to 20.

I am very fair skinned so always use 'high' protection (30-50). What's the best (and cheapest) way to get some good SPF and UV protection for the face? I used my nivea factor 50 spray while away last week and it worked but perhaps isn't the best quality for day to day use?

La Roche posay do a range called Anthelios XL. The ultra light facial cream is brilliant, comes in SPF 30 or 50. It's anti-shine, I often wear it on its own with just a bit of creamy blush on top, it makes my skin look good and is very light and non-greasy. Think they do a tinted version too.

I've just ordered biore watery essence spf off amazon for a little over £8 on the recommendations of this forum. It's gel like apparently and suitable for every day use.
Boots sell La Roche Posay spf which again is designed for the every day use, think it's around £16. (I just went for the cheapest option but obviously it's not the most convenient). There's a few more options in boots I think, I'll find the link to another thread and post soon

Thanks - I'll look out both of these. I love the La Roche Possay cleanser and it suited me, so can't see it being a problem for my skin.

Sprays aren't reliable, coverage wise. You'd need to spray rather a lot to get to the recommended 1/4 teaspoon for your face.

The biore watery essence is meant to be very good.

I'm using a Coppertone SPF 50 PA+++ uv cut milk (at the mo) which goes on nicely, isn't greasy and is easy enough to re-apply without disrupting make up too much if you pat onto your face rather than rub
