hi all, I'm going to south korea in a couple of weeks to visit my brother and I keep reading about how good their skincare etc is. ....I'm needing some new stuff but no idea where to start! I'm 30,with pretty good, regular skin. ...any ideas? !

Thanks!

Oh god I'm so jealous. Checkout the Asian skincare thread for some inspiration.

Have you seen the Asian/ Korean thread here on S&B? The OP has tons of suggestions. I'd buy lots of face masks, a Hera or IOPE BB or CC cushion (getting a good shade match while there) and a ton of Laneige, Innisfree and Sulwhasoo.

I'm super Envy anyway, I travel a lot but skincare shopping in South Korea would be one of my favorite things to do right now!

And I'd focus on the more pricey items, any mail order over £15 / 22€ incurs VAT/ customs payments in the EU, but the legal limit of what you can bring in your suitcase is much higher. Take an extra suitcase Wink I have a lightweight foldable thing and chuck my clothes and shoes and dirty laundry there for the return trip.

LoL needs30hours, I'd be in heaven too. You wouldn't need to buy a thing after all those 'samples'! Grin

be aware that animal testing on slap is still happening there. Up to you if you are bothered.

I like too cool for school. My Chinese friends ask me to bring back Laniege (sp?) skin care products when I go there and also some kind of snail slime! Prices are certainly cheaper than in China, but not sure how this compares to UK.
There are so many shops selling make up and skin care products you will be overwhelmed. Some of the products do contain whitening/ skin bleaching agents - so you may wish to avoid these.
