Joseph leather leggings - knee seam

A bit premature for the A/W leather legging thread season but I have a question....I have a pair from about five years ago, they have two seams that sit a couple of inches above and below the knee. My friend has just offered me a pair from last year (to buy off her) as she has lost weight and they no longer fit her, but they only have one seam which lies right across my knee cap.

I'm tempted to replace mine with hers (and sell mine on), as they are newer, the leather seems a bit nicer and it's a much more flattering waistband (small tweaks they've obviously made), but I'm worried about the seam giving way as it would be taking the stress every time I sat down or bent my knee. I don't feel that is an issue with my current pair.

I can't think of a more middle class spoilt girl problem right now, and even though both pairs weren't/won't be bought full price, it's still a big purchase for me. But this is S&B, I can't think of anyone IRL who might help, and I know from last year, a lot of you bought leather leggings. I guess anyone who bought any brand might be able to help, if they also had the seam in this place.

Thanks!

Hi loulou step away from the seam. If you are thinking about it now, looking down on the dreaded seam will really aggravate you. It's bringing me out in a cold sweat. You won't see seam; you'll see Hairy Bikers knee pads.
Good leather leggings are a necessity.

All Saints have loads of different styles.

The All Saints ones also have a seam at the knee, I think you'd have to pay into the thousands of ££ to buy a pair of leather trousers made from one piece of leather, and I'm pretty sure the leather Joseph uses will be better sourced than All Saints too.

But thanks for replying :)
