Tom Ford Black Orchid Perfume

I'm trying to find Tom Ford Black Orchid but none of the major retailers seem to have any deals on - does anyone know of a legit seller that won't break the bank? I'll get it from John Lewis of need be, but I'd rather save a couple of quid without ending up with fake rubbish that smells like cat pee Grin

Have you tried perfume oils from Perfume Parlour? I buy all my Tom Ford perfumes from there as they smell exactly the same and it means o can buy loads of themGrin

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/07/2015 16:52

PP isn't fake btw, they use the same stuff it's just cheap because there's no advertising or packaging, they explain how they do it on their website if you google .

JacD0 · 30/07/2015 16:56

Yes Yes to perfume parlour.

I had my order last week and its exactly.the.same. And a fraction of the priceGrin

Bailey101 · 30/07/2015 16:57

£8 for 30ml!!!!!!! It's fifty sodding quid in john Lewis Shock

I'd never heard of the perfume parlour, but I'll definitely be giving it a go! Thank you Dame Grin

I got mine cheaper at the airport

hairtoday1 · 30/07/2015 17:18

Is it me or does it smell like plum sauce you get with your crispy duck and pancakes at the Chinese!?

I'm checking out this perfume parlour place!

Behooven · 30/07/2015 17:27

Think I'll order a couple to try (baaaa)
Any recommendations?

hairtoday1 · 30/07/2015 17:36

I've ordered black orchid and neroli portofino to try! Smile

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/07/2015 17:43

Everything I've ordered from there has smelled exactly the same as the real stuff. Wonderful place as I'm really fickle with perfumes.

Behooven · 30/07/2015 17:48

Is the neroli portofino for women as well?

swallowed · 30/07/2015 17:53

So how do they do it so cheaply at PP?

I like having the real stuff I admit.

OP look at Surrender to Chance online, they do decants so so you can buy smaller amounts if you're budget conscious.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/07/2015 17:55

They use the same 'recipe' as the original, just like you would a cake, then put it in oils or spray. Most of what you pay for perfume goes towards advertising and packaging .

hairtoday1 · 30/07/2015 18:09

Neroli P is marketed to men but I like it.

GetTheFudgeOutOfRodge · 30/07/2015 19:18

Just placed an order too. Fingers crossed!

HorridGilbertBecaud · 30/07/2015 21:52

I have the Perfume Parlour copy of Black Orchid as well as the original and while it's good, it's not the same.

It's difficult to describe the difference, but the PP version is more powdery and not as nice.

It's all down to preference though - I love Creed's Aventus and bought the PP version too. It's very close, but it's not the same (less pineapple, more pepper!) but I love it too and feel pleased that I found a 'new' scent that I love for a fiver!

Allbeauty.com has Black Orchid for less than RRP.

mrssmith79 · 30/07/2015 21:59

If you like Neroli Portofino try 4711.

TheBobbinIsWound · 30/07/2015 22:03

Another recommendation for PP.

My fragrance was discontinued by the bastards at Dior and eh voila! I smell like me again but with more money in my pocket! Grin

rubyflipper · 30/07/2015 22:16

Blush???? I've just placed an order

HorridGilbertBecaud · 31/07/2015 09:00

4711 is lovely - so summery and a great bargain, especially compared to Neroli Portofino!

RonaldosAbs · 31/07/2015 13:26

I would be very careful with sites like PP. They are not the same quality of ingredients, not tested or quality controlled, they're fake. Always do a little patch test on your hand for 24 hours just in case. Fake makeup has been known to cause some adverse reactions so the same caution needs to be applied to perfume.

They aren't 'fake' as they don't claim to be the same as the originals, they aren't misleading the public,by hey state exactly what they are and what they do on the website if you'd care to take a read. They're a well known site that people have been ordering from for a loooooong time. They sell quality perfume oils.

Anyone can have horrific reactions to any perfumes /make up/ hair dye you, should always do tests before using anything new.

RonaldosAbs · 31/07/2015 15:25

You don't think it's misleading to call perfumes "Dee and Gee" or "Black Orcheeds". It's basically counterfeiting.

It's like me making a Mulberry bag copy with lesser quality stuff and calling it a "Blueberry" bag.

I did read it, it looks cheap as others have said, things like that rarely smell exactly the same. Very high end perfumes like Tom Ford, yes a lot goes into advertising and packaging, but not so much that it would really cost £8 for 30mls.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/07/2015 15:28

Don't buy it then if you don't want to. I will carry on though as I prefer oils to perfume and I change my mind about scents more often than I change my knickers. It's all good Smile
