My HD brows are hideous!!

Ok so after 6 weeks of growing out my overplucked brows I have today had HD brows done after seeing everyone rave about them.

They are awful!! My eyebrows look like really dark, huge flat slugs sitting on my face.

Not only have I paid £25 for this monstrosity but I have no idea how to even fix them now. The stylist just kept saying I need to grow more hair in pointing to sparse patches where hair has never existed and then coloured them in (with what looks like a sharpie) to hide them.

My daughter lovingly declared that I look like a villager from minecraft, I have no idea what that is but I can't imagine it to be a good look.

I blame mumsnet for making me believe this HD hype. Will try and get some pics up so you can see how awful they are.

They actually look less 'intense' on photos then they do in actual life, probably the lighting. Are they as bad as I think? What would improve them?

They look alright, actually. Maybe you're just not used to them. I generally hate HD brows so I was surprised when the photos looked fine.

Anyway, I don't think they look bad. And they will go lighter, the first day they're always darker

I dont think they look bad at all! Perhaps its just the contrast from how they were before? Also i believe they tone down a bit after a while? Did your technician say anything like that?

They just look like normal brows to me!

There's nothing wrong with those brows at all. They'll tone down a bit in a day or so but don't even look like they really need to.

I think they look great! Although I plucked mine out when I was 13 years old and they've never really grown back, so I use shadow to fill them in and would love mine to look as convincing as yours! I was expecting those ridiculously dark ones you get on Essex reality stars!

you look fine, if you think they're too dark pop some face powder over them, it will 'calm' them down

They look like my brows before I fill them in, make them darker and more defined. They just look like lovely shaped, normal brows to me!

How come chin and top lip hairs grow back thicker, stronger and generally more luxuriant the more you pluck them, but accidently pull the wrong eyebrow hair out and your left with a bald patch forever!! some feckers laughing at us ladies I swear!!

I used to get mine HD'd now I just do them myself. Would you have preferred them thinner or do you like the shape?

They look ok, a bit thick like you have let them grow. Maybe that's the fashion?

Look like ordianry eyebrows to me. It can take a while though to adjust when you're used to pale sparse eyebrows on your face.

they look fine to me! My eyebrows are very blonde and don't really show up in photos... so i have brow envy Maybe live with them a couple of days and then reassess?

Ok well I'm glad they look ok to you lot! I normally pluck them quite thin although have grown them out. I just suppose they are a LOT thicker than I was expecting and I don't seem to have much of an arch whereas I used to put one in.

Yes she was a proper qualified HD person, only thing she really said is that I have a lot of hair missing from the 'tail' so she had to pencil a lot in and that I need to regrow it, always had pretty short eyebrows though so don't think that will grow.

If I thin them out myself a little and try and create more of an arch am I likely to make t worse then? That's what I was planning on doing. Or I should I leave well alone and ask her to do them thinner next time?

you can arch yourself. it sounds daft but doing it with a ruler or something with a straight edge makes it easier. What i did when first shaping mine was mark where i needed to pluck with my eyebrow pen using a straight edge, then pluck

They're great! The ones that Turnover linked to are awful, that's what I was expecting from the way you were describing them.

It sound like you've got used to your very delicate brows and now you have normal ones you feel like they're massive. Step away from the tweezers.
