went to 3 boot s stores today and it appears they discontinued the naked range. out of stock online as well.

I used their curl cream. any other products that I could try. silicone free. I used the pink curl cream in the past but it contains alcohol and makes my hair dry.

Thanks

My daughter is upset about this being discontinued too.

I used to by it from naked directly but sadly they have vanished. Last place I saw naked products was in savers stores and on a website called beauty base.

I use the Moroccan cream for the same reasons and Charles Worthington stopped doing their curl creme too lovely soft curls and not frizz by the end of the day. You can get it in boots or in supermarkets. Would highly recommend.

I really like the Boots own brand (don't think it's part of the Naked range) pink curl cream. Comes in a pot that costs around £1.50 and lasts ages and is by far the best curl product I've found.

huckle, that is the pink one with alcohol. might go back to it though until I find something else.

Ah, I didn't realise it has alcohol in it. I otherwise use only CG friendly shampoo/conditioner and thought the Boots Curl creme conformed with the rules. But, actually, my hair is looking healthier than it ever has before so whatever's in the curl creme can't be too bad!

Am gutted to hear this. I use the leave in conditioner and curl cream.

My local Home Bargains had a lot of this in, presume its end of stock.

I think it's a store by store thing, I can still get in in the three Boots closest to me. Don't think its a complete dc in store, although it does look like boots.com have ditched it.

maybe buy it now.
There is no naked bounce stuff in the 3 boots stores nearest to me, I bought it all Grin

Didn't Boots buy out the Naked range? If so, they'll probably shortly bring out their own replacement range.

I found out on here a while ago that it was being discontinued and managed to buy a stock but there was some on ebay the other day if you're desperate. I can't believe that they've discontinued it, it's amazing stuff, much better than Boots' pink one, which does nothing for my hair!

Does anyone have some of this they would be prepared to sell? Would pay postage. It's the only thing that worked for my incredibly frizzy hair, absolutely gutted they've stopped selling it.

I have very coarse curly hair that is prone to frizz and I'm getting on really well with either Body Shop Rainforest Hair Butter or Tresemme Naturals conditioner, both (one at a time) used as a leave-in, with Umberto Giannini curl gel on top

Nooooooooooo I didn't know it was discontinued and the last time I went to Boots, thought I'd try another shampoo. Didn't work out for me (my scalp is not a fan) so was going to switch back to Naked! What am I going to use??

kazzawazzawo0 · 17/08/2015 13:55

Thanks. But is the Umberto Giannini curl gel free of silicone like Naked curl cream was? Most curl styling products seem to contain silicone.

Lottapianos · 17/08/2015 13:58

kazza, yes apparently its Curly Girl friendly so free of silicone. Ditto the Body Shop Hair Butter and Tresemme Naturals

Moroccan oil curl cream is lovely & doesn't dry hair - also Kerastase oleo curl?

Report
Lottapianos · 17/08/2015 14:11

As far as I know, both Moroccan Oil and Kerastase products are full of silicone

Is silicone really such a bad guy though? I've found serums like Moroccanoil and Frizz Ease to do wonders for my curls.

I do use silicone myself sometimes. I think the idea is that silicone acts a bit like wrapping each hair in cling film (hence the shiny, slippy effect), but over time, it can build up and make hair dull and sticky. I guess if you're regularly using a silicone free shampoo, you might be ok

ah - there are currently TWO threads mourning the loss of Naked Curl Taming Cream. I'm at a loss as to why they would do this to us.

I loved it as it was silicone free and relatively free of nasties so OK to use on children.

I bought some naked conditioner in the 99p shop last week. They had the curl cream as well. Might be worth looking in your local 99p shop.
