Can my ruined stomach fit into any trousers

Have posted about this before but the problem isn't going away!

I have a car crash stomach over 18 months post vbirth. Stretch marks, wrinkly skin, flabby overhang- you name it I've got it!

Losing some weight would help as I carry excess weight on my middle but I am prob about 65kg, 5'6 and size 10/12 everywhere apart from my middle which is about a 16.

Dresses I get away with as choose styles that skim over. Skirts am having to put the waistband over the bulge (bloody hell it's as if I'm still pregnant) but not too visible under tops but jeans/jeggings seem to slip down and bisect the bulge if I try high-waisted ones or low rise it all escapes above. So only works if I wear with loose blouses over. Also have to have a larger size but can't go too large as then gapes at back or on my relatively skinny legs.

Tried to Topshop Jonis but no good. Any ideas on how I can look sleek and smart while carrying a spare tyre?

I know I should lose the weight but am knackered with FT work + toddler and don't want to put in loads of effort when will hopefully have a baby no 2 at some point.

In my opinion you are better losing it before you have another baby!! Its doubly hard otherwise. I have no answers. I have a wobbly belly too and have never lost it. High waisted ones are probably the most comfortable tbh.

I hope this doesn't offend you but what about maternity jeans? I just got the maternity jonis in a 14 and can't believe how comfy they are! I am preg though but was wondering why we don't always wear comfy elasticated waists Grin

Honestly? I'd get on MFP and shift the excess weight, esp if you're thinking of having another baby. Much easier to lose a little bit now than a lot after a second pregnancy.
If you get a stone or so off, your body shape could well change completely, and the belly problem may be no more.

You can get Spanx copies on ebay from China, really cheap and stay put under the bust line. I have a couple as I have IBS and had three kids and I can bloat.

M&S sculpt & lift jeans work wonders. And pilates!

I wear an M&s shaping vest under everything - it smooths out my hideous twin flab belly and gives a much sleeker look. I could do with losing a stone but it def helps me look better while trying.

Try some next lift and shape jeans they have a higher waistband - which is what you need really.
Also I swear by Dorothy Perkins jeggings they also have a high waistband they were a revelation Grin

I bought some high waist flared jeans from next that cover (without squeezing too much) my enormous stomach.

Someone has beaten me to it by suggesting shaping vests - they are amazing. Can I suggest Wallis jeans & jeggings, F&F jeans/jeggings are good too. Come over to the Inverted Triangle & Apple shape thread OP. You'll fit right in!

Ooh thanks for all the ideas. Never heard of shaping vests so will take a look at those as well as the trouser suggestions.

Was actually doing v well with the weight - did 5:2 for a while which really helped but I just feel negative about the fact that the saggy, wrinkly stomach won't 'look nice' even if I lose a stone so why beat myself up.

Where is the inverted triangle thread?

Also Shonajay do I just type Spanx into eBay and the replicas come up?! Never tried as I have IBS and was worried about pressure on the stomach!
