Great cheap facial moisturiser: any advance on E45

So I'm on Mat leave, hurtling towards 40, and have no money for the expensive, youth-prolonging, moisturisers and serums of my dreams.

At the moment I use E45. I love the glow Nivea gives others, but it just makes me look shiny.

So, other than drinking lots of water, and eating lots of veg, any tips on how to glow youth fully whilst aging, broke & sleep deprived?

Oh...and I'm not big on make up either (I don't even own mascara or lipstick!)

Superdrug simply pure hydrating serum. £2.69 or 2 for £3.50 at the moment. It has great reviews and I don't need a moisturiser on top (nivea makes me shiny and oily as well)

I am using an Aldi one in a pot. Q10 daycream or something. It was £1.99 and is the nicest moisturiser I have ever used.

I'm using Eucerin dry skin face cream with 5% urea, I absolutely love it and I've used some expensive creams over the years!

£11 from Boots, I don't need a lot from the tube so hopefully it'll last.

Welleda or any balm balm cream

Thanks for the tips: will definitely try some of these. 2 for £3.50 is my kind of price tag!

CeraVe is really good- too heavy for my face, but works well for all over and I also used it on my baby. Would use it on my face if I had slightly drier skin. Serve also do a lotion.

The Aldi one brought me out in white heads. I use super drug vitamin e 24hr moisturiser,it's lovely and smells of holidays. I use the facial oil too.

m0gz - any idea how that compares to the Boots version which is fab for my skin but 10x the price!

I also use a serum without moisturiser as my skin tends to the oily side.

I need a moisturiser...my skin goes tight after showering for example. But it can also be oily. I think they call that combination? You'd think I'd have a clue by now!

I like the idea of a moisturiser that smells like holidays!

Aldi ones I can only put on my neck, they irritate my eyes Sad

I bought the Superdrug overnight acid one ( pale green tube, about £5ish) Used a pea sized blob as directed................my face would give babies bums a run for their money today Grin

I agree on Superdrug, I am currently using a Superdrug eye cream that cost £5 which is as good as my Origins one that cost 4 times as much. Also look at Boots Botanics, a brilliant cheap range.

Fourarmsv2 I haven't tried the boots one so can't compare the two. The superdrug one is lovely, absorbs quickly and does not ball up under makeup like so many moisturisers do on me.

Astral all the way, Cheap as chips and really works. I have tried everything on the market and its fab, I am mid 40s with really stressed dehydrated skin. Nothing I have tried comes close.
