Recommend me a shampoo

Since I've had kids my scalp has got dry and itchy and seems to be getting worse.
I've tried a few shampoos and they've either made it worse or not really helped.
I've tried nizoral from the chemist, loreal for men dandruff which helped for a while but has now stopped working,
Tressemme which made my hair like straw,
Herbal essences which I had a massive allergic reaction to and made my head feel like it was on fire.
I don't care how much it costs, but I need something!
I have a fairly large boots locally and a few salons that I can get other brands from

Phyto? I had dry scalp after travelling. I used phyto and then switched to Aveda shampure which I think is free of nasty chemicals.

Neutrogena T Gel maybe? I use it once a week and it helps me loads. The rest of the time, I use Redken Blonde Idol sulfate free shampoo as I react to sulfates (I get itchy and spots).

Vosene has really worked well for me. I'm allergic to quite a few too - apparently some have ground up feathers in and that causes the allergy.

Moo goo - it's the only thing that's ever worked for me.

Neutrogena t gel is also effective.

Green People's shampoos are the best ever and very gentle.

Also supplementing with max daily doses of fish oil should help sort your itchy scalp out.

Use coconut oil on your skin.

Any products from the Jasons range. I have very dry skin that turns to scales, peels off and bleeds (I look like the Queen of lizard glamour when that happens!) And Jason shapoo and body wash are non drying, free from chemicals and the moisturisers are great. The only product i'm not too keen on is the conditioner as my bleached hair needed more care than it could give.
All are very reasonably priced in my opinion.

On my skin I also use raw coconut oil.

I think you should really look at supplementing with the best quality fish oil you can afford. (or plant based Omega 3 rich oil if veggie - it should be oil from the whole fish rather than cod liver oil). Take the maximum recommended dose until your skin is no longer dry. Then reduce the dose until you find the right balance. I think this will really help with your dry skin and scalp much more than topically applied products and will also improve other aspect of your heALTH.

Have you tried Eurax to rub on itchy skin - brilliant product and stops you from scratching instantly.

Try shampoos without Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) as that is what makes it foam and can be very drying. You'll find it in bath and shower products too.
You may also have developed sensitivity to silicone, which is in conditioner and unfortunately many shampoos too.

I got some coconut oil and the body shop ginger shampoo. I'm going to try them for a few weeks and see.
I've been reading about argon oil as well

I find the e45 shampoo and also the kerastase exfoliating shampoos to be great for my itchy scalp. I also use the head and shoulders itchy scalp conditioner and it works for me but I know others don't get on with it x
