What to wear on my feet with leggings?

I'm sort of stuck in leggings rather than jeans at the moment (my abdomen is horrible, bloaty and sensitive still -scars after surgery and intestine /bowel things. What a catch eh? )

So, in winter I wore ankle boots and jeggings/leggings or Converse.
Now I'm in leggings but my Converse seem very scruffy with nicer summer tops.

I can't do ballet pumps .


But what is good with leggings? I've seen gladiator sandles and toepost sandles with cropped leggings. Is that feasible (I'm 49 so I don't want to look like I'm mutton dressed as lamb dressing too young.

Sandals will look fine :) I wear chunky sandals with mine or even clogs.

I like leggings and skirts/ dresses in summer and the irish weather means bare legs are reserved for about three days a year!

We are going camping this year and will be doing lots of walking so I've just ordered these FitFlops

Espadrilles? Sorry if that isn't the right spelling.

I wear mine with leggings, jeans etc and they look nice but casual.

I can't wear espadrills unfortunately (my feet+ slip on shoes = doesn't work )

The FitFlops are sort of along the lines I'm looking for but I need to be able to tighten the straps on them (skinny feet)

But, I now know where I'm heading to.

(I saw some Clarks toepost sandles that I like , need to try them on though)
