Nail varnish: what don't I get?

All my peers and friends have long painted nails.

I just think it looks odd. Having some blue or red bit painted on your fingernails. Am I an unpolished pleb?

A nice nude or a French manicure is okay. I think a clean, shaped naked nail is lovely. But then someone once told me my unpainted toenails made them feel sick!
