So, which jacket?

I am not very good at selfies, so excuse the poor quality, but which jacket to you prefer? I am going to a smart, formal occasion, which also is something of a celebration. I will be working, not a guest. Members of the Royal family will be there.

The photos make me realise the bag I was thinking of is wrong. Sigh. The grey shoes would look wrong with the grey jacket but I also now realise they look wrong with the pink too.

I don't really like the grey jacket, and don't think I would wear it again. It is a thick sort of satin. The pink I might use again but is pretty expensive so I don't mind if you don't like it.

I do like the dress so please be kind about it!

I'm not in love with either of them. I wish I could get to the shops and try a few on, but there's no chance of that. I can't find that much online to choose from either. I have been searching for daaaaaaaaaays.

The first one. I just don't like the colour beige/tan/light brown.

Sorry, no to both

I tried a longer one and it ruined the dress.

Have you got a link to the dress? It's a little hard to see the colour in your photo.

It looks lovely btw.

Second one.

Not the shorter one, its boxy style doesn't work with the dress IMO.
The dress looks so much better on its own.

I like the second shorter jacket

I prefer the shape of the shorter one, but the colour doesn't look right. Hard to tell from the photographs though.

I should have thought to post links to the actual things, sorrydress

pink jacket

Grey grey jacket

It wouldn't be at all appropriate to wear bare arms to this event, and not a cardi or shawl either. It's definitely a jacket thing.

I like the pink one,
Your dress is gorgeous too.

Go for the pink, your lighting isn't great on the photos but it is lovely.

The pink one looks much nicer. It looked tan coloured in the photo.

Yes to the pink. It looks much nicer on the website than the colour it came across in the photograph.

Phew. I was beginning to look for a new dress!

Can you see the shoes? They are a standby in case I don't find any others. They look all wrong to me. having trouble with links but have ordered some pinky nudey ones from Clarks. What do you reckon? Too tricky to go with jacket?
