Ten pounds is nothing. Many of them are twenty five plus.

Yeah, I noticed a huge increase in lip stick prices a couple of years ago. Look at Loreal , about £7 ish quid, or glosses which are cheaper.

Try MUA in Superdrug. I don't rate all of them but a couple are v good, and at £1 each you can afford to experiment! The red was terrible for me, but a couple of the pink/rose shades are v good.

I'm not usually such a cheapskate.. happily pay for more expensive brands of skin care for example. . But I thought I'd be paying £10 for a mac lippy not bloody body shop!

When did you last buy a lippie, 1985?? Grin

The MUA ones are really nice if you don't want to spend much

MUA lipsticks are shit. If youre going to go cheap, id at least go for rimmel or boots17

Skinheadmermaid · 06/05/2015 17:59

I really like Rimmel and Seventeen lipsticks and they're a little cheaper at around £6 each.
NYC have some nice lipsticks, I think £4?
All of the ones i've mentioned all stay on. The Body Shop lipsticks are good, they definitely last.

Branleuse - I honestly think they must have changed the formula of some of the MUA ones. I tried one last year and it was dreadful, but then my dd bought me a couple and some of them are brilliant. Happy to check the shades, if anybody wants to know which ones they are.

Primark lipstick is decent as well. They're £1-2.

I get Becca lipsticks from Strawberry Net for less than ten pounds also Korres lip butters and they are really good.

Grin I thought from your thread title you were going to talk about a bargain lipstick you had happened across.

Lol ok so I'm majorly behind the times. . It's so embarrassing! I'm only in my early 20s!

I bought Vans today and felt massively mumsy next to all the shop assistants.

God help me!

I was thinking this was a bargain thread too Grin sorry op.
I'm a proper make up junkie though, which isn't good.

Colette
My favourite is Shade 11 which is a lovely dusky rose. It's nicer than the pic online. And I like 14 too, but it does have a slight essence of the 1960s about it!

I've now got enough of Shade 7 to keep one in all three handbags which I use regularly, and another in my pencil case. Grin

I lied - Shade 11 is the one I have lots of, not 7.

I have the New body shop lip and cheek tint. Its like a chunky crayon. I have the black one. Its looks black but adapts to your skins own Ph levels and give a colour most natural to you. It lasts ages. Was £12.

Chashing if if makes you feel any better I was charged £9.75 to check and send my dd's passport. I queried the amount saying I thought it was only about £5. Cashier replied yes about 8 years ago! ( which was in fact when I first applied for dd's now lapsed passport).

I like expensive lippies, they are such a treat to pull out if your handbag. And they do last ages. A Chanel lippy is about £22 I think and is well worth the luxury. And a good assistant will help you find a really flattering one so you don't waste money.

But if you're on a budget the MUA £1 ones are great, I have a deep red one and a neutral one both of which are great colours although quite waxy consistency, interested to read the formula may have changed, will have to check it out.

I like the Boots Natural Collection ones for £1.99. The packaging is shit, but the product is fine. And the no. 17 mirror shine ones too.
