I used to get plagued with ingrown hairs around there, then I started using this stuff from Shaveworks. Space NK used to stock it but don’t seem to any more. Anyway, really good. It dries out the spots and brings the hairs to the surface –-so you can pick them off--.

Have you tried Tend Skin?

Yes I think that's one of the ones I've tried. Have been given a cream and some antibiotics from the docs so fingers crossed they help

Glad they've been able to give you something to help.

I use womens roll on deodorant to prevent in growing hairs on my bikini line - works a treat. Was reccomended on here years ago, it's developed for use on skin that's (potentially) just been shaved so not at all risky although it does sound odd, I admit. No idea if it helps for those who wax / use removal cream.

Get the antibiotics down you, give any infection a chance to clear up, stop with any kind of hair removal for a few weeks, let the area settle down and then exfoliate daily.

I always advise my clients to buy a pair of those exfoliating gloves - they're about 50p in Home Bargains, and a few days after they've been waxed, gently go over the area daily in the bath or shower - but don't scrub too hard.
