Swimming Shampoo

I've started swimming 2 or 3 times a week. My heir's a state atbthe best of times, and now it's dreadful. When I've doneva lit of swimming in the past, L'Oreal Kids mango Shampo always sorted it out, but this is not longer the case.

Please could someone recommend me a pisr -swimming shampoo for thick, dry, curly, highlighted hair. I normally only wash it every couple of weeks - which leaves it really nice - but can't do that if I'm swimming.

I have thick, dry, wavy, coarse, semi-permanent coloured hair. I swim one to two times per week. After swimming I wash with the Aveda sun care shampoo

www.aveda.co.uk/products/5311/Hair-Care/Shampoo/index.tmpl

And I condition with the Aussie 3 minute mask thingy conditioner.

My hair is generally in pretty good condition. I've just discovered the Liz Earle hair oil which is so light and makes it very soft and shiny.

Have to say that the day after swimming when I get in the shower I can smell the chlorine a little still, but I don't smell of it otherwise lol. The action of getting my head wet in the shower seems to release the smell if that makes sense.

Swimming isn't great for your hair. But it has so many other benefits. I swim outside at my gym here in the UK in a heated pool all year round and it makes me feel great.

PS I also wear a cap but hair still gets a little wet.

Thank you. I wear a Lycra hat to keep the hair out of my eyes, but they are not waterproof and I hate the feel of the rubber/silicone ones.

Obviously I meant "hair" in my OP. My phone must be in Royalist mode!

I use the Boots 4 in 1 swim shampoo and conditioner at the pool which seems to deal with the chlorine, and then use Ojon cleansing conditioner the rest of the time (I run and cycle as well).

I swim about 4-5 times a week. Have thick hair too it gets dry sometimes but I m lucky it s fairly strong and resistant i think.
When I have some I put a little conditioner or coconut oil on ends of hair pre swim.
I also find using a cloth / Lycra cap under a silicone one best (have lots of hair to control and hey if 2 caps are good enough for Michael phelps GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin......
I use a gentle shampoo when I haven't put a pre treatment in during the swim as I think too much shampoo can strip the hair and using too much oil or treatment can leave it lank and heavy,
It s kindof about finding the balance.
I get dermatitis on my scalp from some shampoos - at the moment I find organix ir garner ultimate blends work well, I do rotate shampoos and conditioners and find kerastase elixir oil great (though reacted to their shampoo and conditioner).

Boots do a swim shampoo too I have found good in the past ...:.
