Banana Republic Sloan fit ankle trousers length

I ordered a pair of these a couple of weeks ago in black. As I'm 5 ft 2, I ordered petite. When they arrived I loved the fit but felt the length was too short and I returned them. Now they have the regular length back in stock, I hAve them in my basket and am now wondering how long they will be. If I have to get them taken up, I may as well stick to petite I guess. I'm ordering black and want to be able to wear with boots. I don't know what to order now ie petite or regular. Can anyone tell me how they should be worn ie what length?

I'm 5ft7 and the regular length is actually slightly long on me. For wearing with heels Id prefer them to finish just above the ankle but they are slightly longer than that.

How did you get on with the Sloan trousers. I bought Pettie size the other day and they are above ankle. Wondering now should they be full length trousers as the material is quite heavy for summer wear. Also noticed they are dry clean only ! Have the Hampton from previous year and they are quite light and machine wash.
