pressone since my late 20's have worn Touche Eclat or similar to hide dark circles and ramped up foundation etc these days as my skin (tired etc) needs it - blusher, mascara minimum.

I wish I could get away with less - and when Dior did a fab luminous foundation (sheer coverage) the utter utter bastards (MN phrase there) discontinued it! cue much howling from MU experts the world over! Grin

leedy · 17/04/2015 13:40

Very rarely do any eye make up on a day to day basis as I have naturally dark lashes/strong brows, plus wear glasses. So the usual is:

  • Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute
  • Some kind of light foundation/tinted moisturizer (currently liking the new Bare Minerals Complexion Perfector)
  • Bit of Nars concealer if am blotchy
  • Blush (Nars Unlawful is current fave)
  • One of my 8,0000000 lipsticks

If I am feeling fancier I will also use

  • Highlighter (the Clinique chubby stick one is good)
  • Cream shadow/eye base (Origins cream shadow)
  • Chunky eye pencil (Smashbox)
  • Mascara (think current one is Origins as well. I cannot get excited by mascara.)
ScooseIsLoose · 17/04/2015 13:40

It's a makeup thread pressone why bother posting a shitty comment? Hmm

pressone · 17/04/2015 13:50

Scoose - I think the fact that you have assumed my humorous comment is "shitty" is your issue not mine,

If anyone thought I really was accusing you of being criminals please be assured I was not.

However I truly do not understand why people wear so much make up that they completely change the way they look (unless they are in a play or something).

I truly don't understand it - please explain why it is necessary/desirable/whatever.

My comment was in response to your bank robber post,I also thought it was a shitty comment.

Make up is fun, it enhances your best bits and hides your flaws, what's not to like?Smile

Thurlow · 17/04/2015 14:02

Simple moisturiser
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
Collection 2000 felt tip eyeliner (MN recommendation and it is absolutely amazing and only £2.99!)
Rimmel 25 hour primer and foundation
Rimmel Stay Blushed cheek stain
Then use Max Factor Facefinity if I need a bit of powder during the day

pressone, people wear it because it makes them feel better, is that so difficult to understand? A bit of foundation, blush and mascara tends to make most people just look a bit less washed out, or even up skin tone.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 17/04/2015 14:04

Wearing make up does not alter your looks that much. Most of the products listed would make people look themselves, but better.
