I already own these dresses - I know - there's nothing to be done - I am a lost cause because I actually like White Stuff Grin

I'm stuck for shoes to tide me over from knee length boots to sandals/Sally Hansen legs. I have a pair of black shoes like the one in the photo and I've just bought the tan ankle boots in the sale. I'm not very good with heels and these are the highest I could manage.

So can I wear the soes/boots with these dresses (and a plain blue one like the butterfly one)? I'd wear opaques till sandal time.

I'm 50 and these dresses would be on the smarter side of my work's dress code.

I'll put the other pics in the next post

I'm no style and beauty guru more of an ole gimmer myself but I think "yes" to the black, but "no" to the brown.

To me, the brown ones are for trousers / jeans.
I think the black ones you could get away with though with opaque tights as the colour doesn't change when you get to your feet.

Would it be a bit casual to wear these boots for work? I would wear the boots with the dark red one but not the higher necked one...

Tanaqui they were from M&S a year or two (or more) ago. I have wide feet so I'm limited to where I can buy.

As long as the colours are ok, I think I can wear the boots without looking too casual. Lots of my colleagues wear leggings and tops. I'd be almost on the 'too smart for work' end of the dress code tbh. I work with children in a role where I need to look friendly and approchable rather than smart but I don't do trousers well.

AndWhenYouGetThere - neither am I - I just don't want to look massively out of step iyswim.

I noticed 2 young women wearing ankle boots in a meeting last week. 1 wore them with trousers and 1 with a pencil skirt. They looked good so I thought I'd copy.

I love your butterfly dress, but can't see it on White Stuff website. Was it from a while ago or am I missing it?

It was a while ago. Tbh the neckline is a bit strange and gapey at the front but I had it from an outlet type place on ebay so I can't really complain Smile
