I want a nice spring/summer dress for DD. Even Boden isn't really whetting my appetite! Lots of nice things for older girls but for babies seems like there's nothing! What am I missjng?

How old is she?

DD is nearly 12 months and I've managed to get her a load of gorgeous dresses from ASDA, tesco, Morrisons and a couple in the sale on Pumpkin Patch.

Imeanlikeseriously · 30/03/2015 14:02

7 months. Will have a look at those. I always miss out on the sales!

Of course just seen a hundred lovely ones in pumpkin patch sale, all of which only available in 0-3 months!

Ah, the ones I've got for DD are in the 9-12 months in the older girls' sections in the hope she'll fit them over the summer (still in 6-9 months at the moment Hmm )

She'll be in 9-12 by summer for sure, she's very long. Can't see a separate section for older on their site

They have some lovely dresses in H&M

Imeanlikeseriously · 30/03/2015 14:12

I've not been so crazy about the HM ones apart from the spotty one. Which ones do you like?

Saw some gorgeous baby things in M&S yesterday (mine too old for them now, sadly)

this Autograph dress
and this one
not to mention this

Seriously cute.

I bought this one for my almost-4yo though - only age 1 and up, sorry OP, but it's lovely.

Imeanlikeseriously · 30/03/2015 14:22

Those are all gorgeous!

But the first two quite flouncy? They look like they have petticoats.

zinnia · 30/03/2015 14:28

A bit flouncy, yes - admittedly I didn't stop to look at them in detail, just had a wistful thought about when my DDs were little enough for them! The blue & white stripe one doesn't look like it has a petticoat though.

I used to buy most of my daughters dresses from M&Co. She's 16 now and hasn't worn a dress for years Sad, however they still seem to sell some lovely outfits.

I LOVE that giraffe one moomin what's it like on? I saw it before but worried it would be a bit fussy for a little baby.

tangfastic what a revelation! I had never heard of it and so many nice things! What's the sizing like do you remember?

Lambzig · 30/03/2015 14:40

Try white company. I used to buy so much from them when DD was a baby.

pommedeterre · 30/03/2015 14:44

Been loving m and co for ds (7 months) but was never so sure for the dds.

John lewis essentials and next have some good ones this year (5 and 3).

mejon · 30/03/2015 14:55

this is pretty in a jersey material with matching footless tights/leggings. Tempted for DD2 but she has loads already. Gap is good for dresses too though mine are toddler/girl sized now so not sure what's in the baby section at the mo.

I always found the sizing for M&Co pretty accurate. However, my DD was always small for her age, so never in the same size as her chronological age. Their customer service is good though, so it's easy to return things if necessary.

hellsbellsmelons · 31/03/2015 10:00

I was going to suggest John Lewis as well. I always head there when I have to buy for family or friends children. But yes pricey.

When my DD was little Primark was always a good one to head to. I used to get an entire wardrobe for about £80.

coffeenut · 31/03/2015 10:01

I just ordered a few from House of Fraser
