So I've lost some weight recently but find now none of my bras fit (well fit worse than usual!)

I've done my measurements and come in at 34.5 and 41 but I'm not sure what size I am -currently in 36d with terrible gaping at top. From following the threads I know to go for balconette style (oranges in socks syndrome) but any advice gratefully received!!

Your measurements would suggest a starting point of around a 34F, which is slightly bigger in the cup than your current bra. But, the gaping might not be due to the cup size so much as the shape IYSWIM? the band being tighter also helps with gaping quite often - I remember ordering a bra in a 30HH and 28J, so the same cup volume. The 30HH gaped badly, but the band was loose. The 28J on the other hand was fine, because the tighter band helped the cups stay up better.

So, I'd start with a 34F, in a balconette, and scoop well. If it's still gaping then go down a cup size until you find the right one

Thank you!
I have to admit I've stuck with the 36 because it is quite comfy but it's probably not doing anything for me Blush I will go and try stuff on (rather than buying and running!)

My advice? Go to any bra department with a changing room, set aside 45 minutes, take a friend, grab a fistful of bras, and then send your friend on resupply missions until you find a style and size that works for you.
