Can I have an opinion on a dress?

I'm size 16, Apple shaped, 25, 5ft 7 with zero confidence!
It's either this, or jeans and a tshirt Xmas Eve unless you lovely lot suggest something else under £20

The basic tailored shape is nice.

My only slightly picky issues would be the neckline, I'd prefer a wider, more open neckline (but not too titty) as I find those small, round crew neck types to be a bit strangly and make my bust look matronly. I'd also want a bit more of a sleeve rather than completely sleeveless, I just think it's more flattering.

The print isn't me but that is entirely personal taste and I've not got any reasons as to why I wouldn't have it (like I'vegivem for neckline and sleeves), if you like it, go for it.

Have you tried it on?

I have to order it as the local store doesn't have it.

I feel like you have said you will feel but I can't find anything else Confused

I'd really go and find something similar in shape and try it on - those styles look great on the figures they're suited to, but if you truly are an apple shape, they're going to bulge in the wrong places for you, unless you're planning on wearing structured underwear?

I'm just having a browse, I will be wearing spanx but as being larger now I have no idea what shapes would suit a apple?

Well if you look up "clothes to suit an apple shape", you'll find that there are plenty of ideas out there (although there are some dodgy pics of actual "apple" shape people!) Anyway, if your waist is on the larger, muffiny side, then you still need to draw attention away from it, and the main suggestions are empire or A-line dresses; with low, scoop, wide or split necklines. Your DottyP dress neckline is all wrong still, too high and narrow :(.
Stay away from clingy dresses because if you have the bumps despite the Spanx, then they'll show; and from experience I can tell you that bias cut dresses can be less flattering than you'd like!
Can you really not get to the shops at all? You need to try stuff on, especially if this is a new shape for you. You're not going to have time to change anything if it comes by post now, if it even arrives in time (Christmas post!)

Otherwise, a longer-than-your-hips tunic style top, again empire or A-line, low/wide/scoop/split neckline over jeans might be a better option for you, depending on how glam you want to be.

I'm an apple shape, as in all my weight is in my stomach, I literally look like a apple with two legs sticking out.

It's a nice dress but if you are like me, it might not work.

I tend to find skater dresses work for me, as they hug my boobs, then flare out, the attention isn't on my stomach.
