I'm skint and have had to spend what little money I have for clothes on work stuff.

Recently bought this v flattering work dress here I wear it for work with long boots and a black long sleeved top underneath.

What can I wear it with for a nighttime look? I'm thinking heels and some kind of cropped cardi, but don't know what colour? Black? White?

I hate my arms so won't be wearing it without a cover up of some kind...

I think there is a blazer that goes with it, but I don't want to venture into blazer territory as it feels like workwear again.

That is a lovely dress- I love shift dresses. How about a thin black roll neck under it, 70s style?

ooo I love the dress, do you maybe have a blouse or long sleeved top that is sheer ? that you could wear under the dress

Thank you...I like the idea of a rollneck but in practice I hate having anything tight around my neck. Hadn't thought of a sheer blouse, good idea thanks will have a look for one...

It is a really lovely dress, I don't usually shop in Next but I love this :)

Bright polo neck? Like green or yellow?
Then skin colour tights and ballet pumps.

Or bright tights? (I'm old, perhaps tights aren't eveningy)

The black suede Office Gilly heels would be perfect with it.

Just to clarify, as I don't have a sheer blouse but do have an extensive cardigan collection, do you think it wouldn't work with a cropped cardi?

Yes, eeyore - I have them and love them. Very Aquazurra for less.

my thought is it would depend on what sort of cardi/bolero and how 'dressy' the do is. Primani may have a cheap sheer top or blouse

Thanks moomoo - I'm thinking something quite structured or fitted that stops befor the waist..

I think cropped cardigans are very dated.. Are you sure your arms are that bad? Grin

Embrace your arms. I bet there's nothing wrong with them. We're all obsessed with our arms lately. You'll look back in 10 years and say 'what was I thinking, I looked great'. You could even try a touch if fake tan.
