I want a gorgeous arse.

I have one but it's non existent, very bony and not comfortable for sitting on. My arse is non existent and my dh loves a good bum. If jeans fit my backside they're too tight to across my hips. If they sort of fit my hips I end up with wide boy rapper arse. Usually a 6 fits my arse but not my hips and 8 is a bit big round my hips and my arse disappears.

I'm desperate for a jean or cord that fits my arse and shows it off, sits comfortably on my hips (I love low rise) and is long enough in the leg.

I'm a 34" bust, 28" waist, 34" hip and 32" leg.

I want to look good I'm 30 with 4 gorgeous dc and I still feel as though I dress like a scruffy student. My youngest is 2 and I'm done with babies.

So where should I shop and what should I wear? I want to look good, I'm wasting too much money on the wrong thing and my poor dh disappears. I know it's not the done thing but I want to put the spark back, I want to get dressed and for dh jaw to hit the floor. I want to turn dh on and turn heads too. So where do I start?

Sorry, I know this is S&b not exercise but if you really want to work on the area - the jillian Michaels killer buns and thighs workout is fab. I love it. have a read of the reviews on amazon if you are interested!

I am sure someone else will give more useful advice re clothing!

theenchanted I was going to suggest reverse squats!

ultra, have you thought abut doing toning workout? They will give you nice shape, a combination of squats, box jumps, Bulgarian lunges, can really help in building muscles and sort of "lift" your bum,

I'm sorry if I misunderstood, but you want jeans or more of total clothing makeover??

Clarabumps · 25/10/2014 20:13

what the heck are bulgarian lunges? They sound hard. away to google

Oh dear lord... I just watched a video. They look hard.

Running will help too. My jeans were too baggy on the bottom or tight on my waist, but going running has sorted this out nicely.

My they do look hard, but I will give them a go. Anything to help. I'm after an all over make over. I have an arse it's pert I guess but tiny and flat. I can't find jeans they either fit my bump and are tight or fall down and are baggy.

I'm sick of looking like a streetwise rapper in the trouser department and a boho maiden on the top half. I love dresses but I would really love the perfect pair of trousers.

Leg curls - kneel on all fours, then lift one leg at a time to where the thigh is parallel to the floor, and lower it again.
Lunges.
Squats.

Is there any chance that you might be a bit underweight? The solution would be a while lot more enjoyable than lunges and squats Grin

Sounds like your quite skinny?
If you want a bigger bum you need to gain a bit of weight and do a lot of squats and lunges to gain weight in that area. Weightlifting is good for this sort of shaping.
I'll tell you a little trick. When I lost 6 stone i went from having a massive arse to having literally nothing, there was just a load of baggy skin. I wore control leggings under my jeans for months until I gained a bit of weight (in muscle) back and the skin improved. They made my saggy, non existent butt look shapely.
Also New look have some great jeans in at the moment, very comfortable and stretchy in loads of different colours.

The leggings were from primark btw.

I'm 8st 11 and 5"7, I do have a bony bum and I guess I'm skinny but not underweight. I walk up a very steep hill 3 times a day pushing a buggy so my legs are amazing, I have a nice enough arse it just gets lost in trousers. It seems to be a family trait as all dc are the same Grin
I'm may be going down the wrong route, I've been looking for real denim jeans but maybe I need to look to jeggings. Maybe more Lycras the key, I wonder if you can get fleece lined jeggings. I'm very busy with 4 dc and I don't drive so I walk everywhere so any extra exercise other than yoga seems like punishment. I'm very lazy Blush
I just want to look sexy and appropriate, I have no direction and stumble from one odd thing to to the next. I have 2 lovely dresses but jeans and tops I'm honestly a lost cause.

To be honest it sounds to me like there's nothing wrong with your body at all, more a crisis of confidence I think. Happens to us all with little ones. Yes squats will help with the bony-ness, if you can be bothered to do them, but I'm wondering where you're buying your jeans? A size 8 from m&s or next is massively different from say a topshop size 8. I live and die in jeans, and only tight skinnies from topshop or Zara give me my amazing arse (everyone mentions it! Not just full of myself!)

Shop around, you never know. And I'm sure your fella thinks you look hot, even if you don't!

You and I are the same height and weight. I wear jeans from a brand called Seven which I think are brilliant. Very comfortable but don´t look like "mommy jeans". In the UK you can definitely get them from Selfridges, perhaps from other places too. If you are near a stockist you could go and try some. Anyway, I hope you find some gorgeous clothes that you love wearing.

American Apparel easy jeans would be perfect for you, quite pricey but they are amazing. Topshop Jamie jeans are similar and are good too. Tight highwaisted jeans will make your bum look rounder than lower rise jeans. But if it's a lower rise you prefer then try Topshop Leigh's Smile

Thank you, a really lovely friend let me try on her next size 8 skinny cords and they're great but I think to make them even better I'm going to buy some shapewear I'm slim but I do have a little bit of loose skin a sort of untoned mummy tummy. It's fine when I'm standing but noticeable if I sit or bend. I think I'm an 8 but to wear things on my tummy need something to slim me down. The cords made my arse look lovely so off to buy some thing in next to try.

I will also look for seven and American apparel, ebay might be a good place to look.

Feeling quite excited that all I may need is some shapewear, I love an easy fix Wink

Nothing wrong with your figure OP, you just need a good pair of designer jeans with plenty of lycra in. J Brand are my favs, if money is an issue, try them on in a store, figure out your size and pick them up on ebay. Levi's do well fitting jeans too.

With really good jeans you don't need shapewear...

But fwiw Spanx now do their own jeans...

You can have some of mine. I have more than enough arse and I'd be truly, truly delighted to share it with someone. You can keep it, it's not a loan it's a gift. I really don't want it back.

OP, it might be worth you trying a brand called Salsa jeans. I found them in my local House of Fraser store. I cant remember exactly what model it was but one of them has a kind of "insert" in the back of the jeans (inside the jeans, sort of between the skin and the back pocket, if that makes any sense at all) to give you a fuller, more rounded shape.

Think of bra chicken fillets but for the bum!!

I think they are around £100 so not cheap but, if might be worth a try as a short-term fix while you do all those lunges!

You sound like you have a lovely figure.
Yoga for the bum should be fairly easy to find.

Also, someone recommended Paige denim on here t'other day, and with your figure I think they'd have some perfect jeans for you. Google Paige at selfridges but have a seat before you look at the price (£££)

Definitely would recommend going to somewhere like Donna Ida or Selfridges denim bar and trying on a million pair of jeans to find the perfect ones.

But then order from shopbop or revolve in a few weeks when the black friday sales start.

Personally I'd be wary of ordering designer jeans from ebay because of how many fakes there are out there.

Thank you, I will try many pairs on.

MrsWolowitz I do love dresses but I'm never sure if im an 8 or a 10 and in xs-xl I really have no idea as so many manufactures differ.

I love the sound of a padded bum, I've ordered some next skinny cords to see and a very fluffy jumper as I'm unfortunately quite suited to 80s clothing. I have many jackets with shoulder pads.

I think I'm quite a classic shape I'm 34" bust, 28" waist and 34" hip so I'm quite hippy. I really have no idea, I could do with someone taking me by the hand and guiding me to a whole new look.

I live in elasticated waist haream pants and sportswear, I also have lots of base wear items and some awful shirts and jumpers.

I have no skirts and only 2 dresses and so many jeans that don't fit that I could probably open my own denim bar.

I think it's time dh took me to the city for a shopping spree Grin
