Style and beauty for my nearly 10 y/o....we're off to the city this weekend and i'm clueless!

Buying shoes....she has some gorgeous boots, and trainers, but now we're looking for some coverse type...are converse still cool? Is there something else thats big now? I wear what i like, and i'm encouragingher to develop her own style, but i remember well my desire to look 'cool' at that age and i'd like to indulge her a little in this too.

Converse are pretty timeless I think. They're a bit predictable but I wouldn't say they're NOT cool. Perhaps someone else can chime in but I think Vans are a big hit with the youngsters right now? As far as clothes go isn't Hollister very big for that age group?
