What colour shoes with navy tights?

I've bought some navy tights to go under some navy dresses for work - black tights look horrific and it's wintery for nude tights. My work shoes are all black. What should I be wearing on my feet? Brown, or a different colour of navy? Or just the black shoes? Help!

I'm in an office/court btw so dresses are smart a-line or bodycon style with navy, tweed or grey suit jacket over. Shoes tend to me low heels from Clarks or Jones.

Any suggestions? Or are navy tights a terrible faux pas altogether perhaps?!

Personally I like red shoes with navy. Mind you, I like red shoes full stop.

Brown, grey or red yes but red sounds too much if navy dress and tights. If your coat/ jacket I would go with grey.

I have this dilemma and have got round it by wearing grey tights. They go with blue and black so can wear blue skirt/black shoes and still looks good.

Also think grey tights are chicer(?!) And they look better than black with an all black ensemble. Mine are graphite ones from Marks.

Whilst I love the idea of red shoes I'm not sure how some of the senior bods in the firm would react!

I like the idea of grey tights, and I also have black patents so will test them out too.

I wear navy tights sometimes and wear them with grey, tan or dark brown shoes or boots. I've done black patent but only brogue style as I think anything else might look peculiar. I don't think they are a faux pas but they are tricky! I tend to go more for colours like dark purple, grey or burgundy in tights now, but I do think navy ones are very flattering

Another vote here for grey tights - if you're wearing colour, I think they look much better than black.
