Had secret botox this morning

So. This morning without anyone else knowing where I was I was having botox.

Mentioned it ages ago to a good friend and was met with her saying I was crazy etc. So just thought it better not to tell anyone in real life...

Feels a bit strange and having no one to talk to about it.

If anyone wants to be my botox buddy?

You won't look back, it's amazing. I too had a disapproving friend (and mother & DH) so didn't tell them. They haven't noticed, I only have small amounts in my frown lines but it's made a world of difference to me.

I had secret Botox done awhile back and demanded as little as poss for the scowl between the eyebrows. Told dh I was going for coffee with a friend and fortunately for me he's the most unobservent person I know so after swanning back home he suspected nothing.
A friend of mine was slightly suspicious so I fessed up to her, and shortly after she too had Botox but in hindsight I believe she was having it on the sly way before me!

:). Thanks for your replies everyone. Glad I am not alone!

I had it done in a local little image on the other side of town that I had found online and had good testimonials.

Strangely I thought it was taking effect straight away but think that was in my mind.

I do have the botox headache. It's not bad though at all.

I was £250 for 2 areas.

Hurt a little bit some points Could not feel and others hurt a bit.

The woman said she had lots of secret clients and every discreet.

Looking on the net the thing most people complain about is eyelid droop. Anyone has this?

I hsd my 11 lines done a few weeks ago & went back for my forehead. She didn't do as much on forehead to avoid any eye drooping. I'm going back on Weds to have a bit more in my forehead. I'm getting my crows feet done too but I expect she will do that in 2 weeks time.
It's the best thing ever. I am 44 & I'm a beauty therapist so I want to keep looking fresh.

I had no side effects at all.

It will take 5-7 days to notice the effect.

I've been doing it in secret for years Grin

Mines not a secret but as no one has asked I don't talk about it .
I have my crows feet done plus a little filler under my eyes to make the bags disappear.
Best thing I've ever done, I love how much more confident it makes me feel.

Laurie33 I'm fancying having something done about the little downward lines at the ends of my lips (marionette lines?) which I think means filler. It must not be obvious i.e. no bruising, if no one has mentioned it?

If I have anything done I'd like to keep it to myself but not sure if that's possible with filler.

Margery, seeing the pictures of some slebs with their horrific fillers did concern me but my doctor assured me that correctly done it would be fine.
I had very obvious dark circles. After treatment they completely disappeared it was amazing. I just look as though I sleep really well, there's no puffiness or sign of fillers.
I love my Botox but if I could only have one treatment the filler would win every time.

Laurie I like the filler to hide bags - how much is that? I asked the woman about filler (juviderm) for lips and she said it's really good and lasts over a year but it was £250 so I decided not to. Plus I don't want that stretched flat-lipped look I've seen on housewives of Beverly Hills Shock

Oh, I did have three tiny pin prick bruises under each eye which took about a week to clear. They were easily covered with make up sunglasses.

It cost £400, but lasts around 12 months.

Have had both filler and Botox several times. Botox just feels like being bitten by ants in my experience but filler is very painful. I had it on my Naso labial lines and chin, which bruised quite badly and was sore for a few days. The effect of filler is not as dramatic as Botox though. DM says if I ever have anything "done" I am out of the will (!!) so mine is very much on the sly too! Wink

You see I never realised filler could even be used for eye bags or shadows. I think the £400 is not bad if it lasts for a year?

Well I keep looking in the mirror expecting something to happened and of course it's the same old me staring back (forehead looks smoother though / may be wish full thinking) Wink

I just get so annoyed with all these celebs having tons of work and everyone (mainly men) thinking that's natural and every other woman just looks rough! With that and the airbrushing it is hard work to stay looking good without being dragged into the whole lizard face thing. I had hoped I cold confide in one of my friends so they can tell me if I'm getting too much!

reading this had made me want my 11's done.

How do you find a good clinic? Is there a trip advisor equivalent for botox?

Is botox any use for lines above your upper lip? I have two...smokers lines I think they're called. And I don't have an "11" between my brows but one line which is horizontal....
