Thinking of a clarisonic for Xmas....worth the £?

Just wondered if people rate the clarisonic? What are the benefits? And so many similar products on the market, are the cheaper versions any good? Thanks Smile

I love mine and think it is well worth the money.
My skin has never been better. If I do feel a spot developing in the evening after I've used the clarisonic it is away next morning like magic!
Wouldn't be without it.

I tried a Clarisonic (got it from QVC so could return) and did return it because while I wouldn't say it did nothing, it didn't get any great results to justify the price. I have a feeling if you buy direct they might allow using/returning, check with them though.

Overall the reviews I have read have been good, but it didn't do much for me.

I love mine too but I know a lot of people on here dont rate them for the price.

Personally I find using the sensitive head ( i have combination skin but found that head too harsh), I also only use it once in the evening to take the days make up off. Anymore than that and my skin feels really tight.

As the previous poster said order from qvc and if it doesnt agree with you you know you can return for your money back. Dont even go near amazon sellers, they are a pain to return to as i found out to my cost!Smile

I have the MIA 2 and love it - had it about 18 months and my skin to me feels and looks better. At the time some of the other options eg clinique brush were not on the market plus I treated myself to it from birthday money - would buy again.

I bought the Clinique face brush a couple of weeks ago, use it at night and I've really enjoyed it. Skin seems more clear and in less need of exfoliation (I normally use a muslin cloth & Eve Lom). The brush is still pricey (£79) but cheaper than the Clarisonic Grin

Great. And how is skin better? Fewer spots? Pores? Etc

I use the Phillips version, it's about £40-50 and I'm happy enough with it as go through phases of using it.

I've not tried the clarisonic but am very happy with the (much cheaper) olay version (amazon)

Another vote here for the Boots No7 one. My skin is loads better since I started using it.

I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin since using it - especially my dreaded tzone - the pores are much smaller and blackheads less noticeable.

Saying that, I struggled initially as it kept giving me breakouts and blotchy skin. I probably only use it once or twice a week now and I have found using a serum helps with the post cleanse tightness.

Another vote for the Boots No7 one. I've had bad skin since I can remember & didn't want to spend on the Clarisonic not knowing if any would suit me. Think the higher end brands have timers & probably better quality brushes, rechargeable etc but No7 does the same job.

The Olay microdermabrasion kit on Amazon 36 quidish?? I think, is fab! It has excellent reviews too and is a strong competitor to the Clarisonic.

So, I got the no 7 brush. If anyone is in the market for one, it's a bargain at the moment as it comes with a full size no 7 cleansing gel and no 7 moisturiser for £25! It's £24 normally just for the brush. Oh, and it's on Xmas 342 as well.....

Love my Mia 2 Clarisonic. It has the timer on it so you only do it 60 seconds. I can see over-doing it if you don't have the timer. I use the gel that Clarisonic makes. I tried some other cleanser with it and it wasn't the same. Also, you have to change the brush every 3 months. I use Acne or Sensitive. I went longer than 3 month once and my skin didn't look as good.

Generally, it makes my skin smoother and fully removes my makeup and makes my skin better prepared to handle the prescription topical acne medicine I use.

I have the number 7 one too, works a teat when i can be bothered to keep it up. Just saw in the sunday paper that Lidl are selling one for £9.99. Am I missing something or is the clariosonic one juat a spinning brush the same as the number 7 one? I also have a sponge one that sort of vibrates, its meant to do fab things but tbh I am not convinced just rubbing a vibrating sponge over my face with a cleanser would do anything more than rubbing in a cleanser with my fingers, again, never got into a routine to try it

I can't see the no 7 Xmas package on boots.com yet, but it's a great buy with the extras for 1p more than the brush costs!

Lidl's are never conveniently located for me! Otherwise, I'd go check that out.

I am not interested in the No. 7 skin care products but I am tempted by that brush!
