Ruched boots?

Could I have opinions on these boots please? I'm looking for something feminine and flat that will go with both dresses with tights or skinnies. I think I like them, but can't decide if they're timeless or dated...

The 80's called!!

All jokes aside, dated boots. Plus they make people look like they've fat ankles IMO.

The Eighties did call. They said we're back and like it or lump it. Have you seen a teenager lately? It's the first time in my life, I'm mid thirties, that a fashion decade has come around again! I feel old. Grin

The eighties rang back and said, actually, those are boots for MEN and can you please give hand over all your eyeliners and contour blushes to Simon and Nik while you're at it, thanks.

Good grief no, the shiny plastic boot is not to be worn.

Blimey, I think the Eighties are squatting in Russell & Bromley this season. If Nik Kershaw was a boot

That solves that then! They will be staying in the shop. Thank you! Grin

going against the grain here but I actually like the shape. I don't like the colour though, I think they'd look better in black

Sorry, I had too much coffee last night and was being gratuitously mean about the boots. If you like them, then you should get them! Am sure they wouldn't look that 80s once combined with your normal clothes, unless you also have a penchant for snoods and batwing jumpers?

But agree that they look a bit plasticy in that colour.

The eighties is all the rage now though, so if you think they look dated they're probably extremely fashionable.

I had a pair just like them in the early eighties (except mine were grey), which I wore with grey chunky baggy cords, a red batwing jumper, a grey belt over the jumper, and lots of grey plastic bead jewellery.

I have revisited many looks of my youth, but this is not one of them.
