I've just bought this dress

Because I'm a shortarse, it's a bit longer on me than on the model (i.e. on rather than above the knee). I have some much loved brown biker boots that I'll be wearing with it.

But given the plainness of it, I feel it needs some colourful accessories to wear with it, but I'm crap with accessories. I mostly wear naice jewellery, which tends to mean that it's quite small. I have a few bits and pieces of costume jewellery but not much. And I can't wear scarves without looking like a 1970s air stewardess.

The colour, along with the boots, really work well with my colouring. I am freckly and have red tones in my hair (although I'm not a redhead). Autumn colours work well for me rather than bright, Spring colours.

Don't mind how much stuff costs. I'm likely to wear it for work rather than going out.

Am I a hopeless case or will anyone take on the challenge Wink

Hi BIWI.
A silver long necklace would be nice. With silver nail polish. and if you wear them silver hair acsessories and a black bag. It sounds like I'm obsessed with the color silver but it will look nice.

Firstly, thank you! I was beginning to think I am truly BillyNoMates!

I'm not sure about the silver/black - my skin tones are more towards gold/warm colours, and my boots and bag will be brown.

But, any pictures to illustrate the kind of necklace you were thinking of? That would really help me! Flowers

A leopard print scarf? If you choose a big one, you shouldn't have any air hostess issues.

I'm a similar colouring to you (and I love the dress!), and I'd suggest a long chain (maybe leather thong chain IYSWIM; with a chunky pendant in orange/amber, brown, cream or even turquoise? Maybe a few chunky bangles (I like chunky!)
'Next' do a set of 3, dependant on the season, in different textures/ widths. I buy most of my 'junk' jewellery from local independent shops, but have picked a few bits up from Debenhams, New Look, White Stuff. I'll try to find a few photos of what I'm thinking about - bear with me! Wink

Thank you both!

Remus - how do you wear a big scarf though? I never know!
