Prolly on Autumnal days cold winters...! I love winter clothes and find nothing more cosy than wrapping up in chunky woolly tights and huge maxi cardi or jumper.
Anyone else a winter girl?

Yes I love it. As long as it's crisp and cold and not miserable and wet.

Itscurtainsforyou · 18/09/2014 00:07

Definitely Smile

50ShadesOfSummer · 18/09/2014 05:27

I like winter clothes, I like summer clothes. I don't like this time of year when I'm either too hot or too cold whatever I decide to wear.

MooseBeTimeForSpring · 18/09/2014 05:46

Winter here runs from October to late March/early April. Weeks and weeks of -30 and lower. Coldest last year was -52 with the wind chill.
Layers, layers and more layers.

Barbie1 · 18/09/2014 06:06

I'm having serious winter fashion envy after drooling over the net a porter Instagram feed...

Having just moved to Malaysia there isn't any chance of wearing anything remotely like it.

This makes me very Sad

WantAnOrange · 18/09/2014 06:53

Oh yes, all my clothes are winter clothes! I am 18 weeks pg and need maternity clothes now which are all winter clothes. Big over the bump trousers are no good in this heat!

mooth · 18/09/2014 13:16

I love winter clothes. Coats, boots, tights, big sweaters, I love scarves.

TheBookofRuth · 18/09/2014 13:20

I like summer, but I want it to bugger off now. My summer clothes feel tired and dull by now, and I have lovely new boots and brogues I want to wear.

cleanasawhistle · 18/09/2014 13:21

I always look forward to Autumn.
Love it when the dark evenings close in and the fire goes on,all cosy.
I prefer the clothes I wear in winter too, boots, tights, skirts.

carrie74 · 18/09/2014 13:26

I wish it could be summer all year. Hate the evenings drawing in, layering clothes, how long it takes t get out of the house (more clothes, coats, right kind of shoes). Urgh. I used to live in Miami, and one of the biggest complaints is lack of seasons. I see nothing wrong with that as long as the season is "hot and sunny" Grin. If only I could convince DH and kids...

Lottapianos · 18/09/2014 13:26

I feel the same BookofRuth. It's 25 degrees today here in London so the afternoons are boiling but because its September, the mornings are really chilly, so you're freezing on way to work and boiling on way home Hmm

The main thing I love about summer clothes is not having to wear too many of them! Pair of trousers/skirt, t-shirt, sandals - done. Winter is more like tights, socks, vest, l/s t-shirt, top, cardy, coat, scarf, gloves, boots....... Its all such a faff.

The weather is due to turn much more autumnal over the weekend though - I'm quite looking forward to getting my socks and scarves out again!

beccajoh · 18/09/2014 13:27

Oh yes definitely me! Short skirts with woolly tights and boots. I'm not a summer fashion person at all.

passmethewineplease · 18/09/2014 13:29

Yep! Can't wait. I love Autumn and winter.

MaryWestmacott · 18/09/2014 13:31

oh yes, I don't like the inbetween days like this, it was really cold on the school run this morning, it's currently glorious, I want summer or proper autumn, not this inbetween business. And I'd quite like it to be cold now as I've just bought a new chunky jumper.

foxdongle · 18/09/2014 13:48

No.
Like the clothes- especially boots and jackets. hate the weather though- unless it's sunny and dry, but more often it's freezing fog, wind and rain and makes my hair look crap.
Much prefer summer/spring/autumn. I could live without winter and normally book a holiday to escape it at Feb h/term. (Miami Feb 2015)

Milmingebag · 18/09/2014 14:51

I love the autumn and winter. Hate summer. I wish the autumn would get a shifty on. I adore the cosy evenings drawing in and the scenery. Never feel uncomfortably cold even in deepest winter.

I am in my element clothes-wise too. I like dramatic make-up and it never looks quite right in the summer as it melts down my face and it turns into an oil slick I find summer dressing such a faff.

If I had my genome unravelled I would probably find Sami blood!!!

Apatite1 · 18/09/2014 15:34

Love the cold, I'm very much an indoors cosy up by the fire sort of person. I'm still sleeping with the fan on, it's way too hot. I grew up in hot countries, so summer is so boring.

I look better in jewel colours, my legs aren't good enough for shorts and the more layers on, the better!! I wish it would snow this winter.

TheBookofRuth · 18/09/2014 16:18

I also don't like the feeling, when it's sunny, that I should be out "making the most of it". Looking forward to being able to flop in front of the TV with a cuppa guilt-free!

AtlanticDrift · 18/09/2014 17:24

I love it. Coats are my weakness, and boots too

MissMogwi · 18/09/2014 17:36

I have been very organised and have some lovely new autumn clothes and boots ready to go.

Only I can't wear them as I'll look daft in this heat. I'm sick of wearing my summer stuff now and keeping my legs shaved. Roll on winter I say.

Poor me with my First World Problems Grin

Goldiefawn · 18/09/2014 17:38

I always read these threads to try and convince myself to like autumn/winter from all the things you guys you say you love about it. But I just don't like it!

My long hair sits funny when wearing a coat and it's such a faff having to wear so many layers plus hats, gloves, scarves for all of us. Plus all the extra washing! Which is impossible to get dry.....

I hate it getting dark at 4 and not wanting to leave the house, but it's still 3 hours, at least, until the toddlers' bedtimes!

I feel/look healthier with a slight tan and love just wearing a loose summer dress and flip flops - so comfy.

I also hate getting up in the dark - it could be 3am or 7am - no idea! If it's dark it's time to be in bed!

I will keep trying to convince myself though.....

yes and no. I delude myself that I do but when it comes to de-icing the car and having freezing hands waiting for a train or whatever...then no.

HappyMedium · 18/09/2014 21:16

me, me, me. I never know what to wear on days like today. Can't wait to pull on the tights, boots and scarves. And as for all the extra washing. ... No guilt in sticking it in the tumble dryer cos guaranteed it won't dry outside Smile

Floisme · 18/09/2014 21:18

Me me me! I love autumn/winter clothes and September is my favourite month for shopping.
