Hi
I'm getting married eek in a month. I had my dress picked and critiqued wonderfully by you nest of vipers. However I am struggling to find a wedding ring I like. So I have always liked russian rings and bought this one (fake) off interweb to see if I like it. I have tiny fingers. This one is 3mm thick and if I order the real version I would probably go for 2mm. Is it too much. Any suggestions. I need 18ct to match my engagement ring. I don't mind secondhand. Actually I prefer that. And my ring size is a g or a h.

I wouldn't wear a russian band with an engagement ring. Too fussy for me.

Although that's assuming you've gone for a standard diamond solitaire?

Agree with mrscumberbatch. It looks too fussy, especially as you have small fingers.

I like the style, but as said above, probably a bit too much along with the engagement ring.

it would be nice to wear alone though.

However if you like it then that is what matters - not random internet strangers' opinions :)

It's a 3 stone ring with a sapphire and 2 diamonds. Can I get some ring porn please.

The stones in your engagement ring - which is lovely - are overwhelmed by the proportions of the wedding ring.

I think you need a much plainer wedding ring.

Or wear your engagement ring on your right hand after you're married (lots of my friends do this, many of them building up a stack of them on one finger which looks great).

I think you're right about the 3mm rings being too chunky but I think even a 2mm version would be too big and busy with your engagement ring. It looks so trapped behind there!

There's such a lot of lovely detail in the engagement ring (it's beautiful!) that I think a plain, simple, traditional gold band would be the best way to go. Definitely the most complimentary.

Any chance of a close up of the engagement ring?

I think it's too chunky and dwarfs your engagement ring.

I have tiny fingers- am a G or H size ring.
My wedding ring was 2 mm plain court yellow gold, but I've recently changed it to white gold with 12 diamonds - like an eternity- in 2.5mms.

An eternity type ring would work, of course. You're probably saving that for later though, or not?

IMHO the humble, plain gold band is underrated.

I would suggest a simple band made to ensure your engagement ring 'sits' properly with it.

Could you not wear the Russian style ring on your other hand?

I think a fine gold band, the Same width as the band on your engagement ring

I think it looks dated. Sorry dont want to offend you. Gorgeous engagement ring, I agreed with the others, a simple slim gold band would complement it best.

If you want to zoom in on the ring, click the picture then press Ctrl and + at the same time a few times and the picture should go bigger (if you are on laptop that is)

I'm afraid I agree with everyone else.

Either a slim, delicate ring that won't overwhelm your engagement ring, or wear it on the other hand.

I have a similar look and regret it. It doesn't look right but I daren't tell DH. Cartier did do a 1mm trilogy and that looks better, but it's discontinued now.

I agree, your engagement ring is very classic in style and will be set off best by a simple gold band

Thanks everyone. I think I have been totally overthinking it. Plain it will be

I would either do a russian band (you could always get one of the bands diamond set) and wear the dia/sapphire ring on the other hand or vice versa.

I can sympathise, I had to shift my 'engagement ring' (we have no intention of getting married but wanted to do rings) to my right hand as it was an antique and didnt sit right with my contemporary band.

Definitely agree that the wedding ring doesn't look right at ALL. Sorry! I think it actually makes the whole lot look dull and plain, which is blatantly not the case! I have a ring exactly like your engagement ring.

If you want something a bit more bling, then go for something like THIS in your metal of choice.

Otherwise, to be honest, the plain bands look great with a three stone ring.

:)

I'm having the same problem to be honest. I have a solitaire engagement ring and keep swapping between getting a really bling wedding ring with lots of little diamonds, or just a plain band.

Probably just go for the plain band as they are so much cheaper and my fiancé wants rings that match (in design, not in width/size)

I have a plain 1.8 mm wedding band. I'd get a thin one for yours too.

2mm gold band ordered. Ahh the relief. Kaykay my nails are a disgrace. I will have to add that to my wedding to do list.

I have a very similar ring and hand shape! This is mine with a smaller band, if that helps to see together? Your ring is beautiful by the way!
