Tights like Falke but cheaper

'Tis the season for planning a new work wardrobe, and every year i like to invest in a few pairs of thick knitted school girl tights to wear with my winter dresses. I usually buy Falke but have just blown two hundred quid at Baukjen so feeling a bit penitent. Any suggestions on some cheaper alternatives that are as good if not better than Falke??

Boden thick tights are lovely, but not much cheaper than Falke (but you might get a voucher or good money off deal). Also I often get amazingly good tights at Tesco, and TK Maxx is worth a trawl. And lastly Uniqlo does a lot of tights and tight-style leggings that are very good quality and feel like lovely expensive tights, and are long-lasting.

(I wish I was buying winter tights but I can't possibly justify it as I have too many!)

Thanks MsAstronaut!

You buy some if you like MsAstronaut and then send them my way... Would that satisfy your cravings!?

Being nosy- what did you buy at Baukjen? I am currently coveting almost everything in the collection! Re tights - I always find the m and s autograph tights good but I only buy opaque not knitted .

Erm, not quite! :o (maybe if I wear and stroke them lovingly first)

I'm craving some mustard-coloured ones this year, can't decide if that's a bit bonkers or not.

MightyMing: Baukjen are great aren't they? I plundered the sale stock mainly: I bought a tailored skirt, posh leggings, casual cobalt blue trousers, two stripy jersey shirt things, and a v neck jumper from the new collection. Used an Ocado 20% off code and had been emailed a £10 voucher too to justify the full priced item!

I only buy knitted tights and like the Falke merino ones but they're v v expensive!

M&S collection - around £10 - with wool. Mine have lasted, although not as well as Falke's have, which seems about right.

Mmeh that is not a bad haul for £200 at Baukjen!

I know! I'm quite smug, let's just hope all the clothes fit!

Am even smugger now as have just bought some Falke rights anyway from My Tights. Found what I thought was a 20% code but it seemed to knock neatly 50% off my order!! So £17.33 rather than £30 for a pair of merino wool tights... Free first class delivery too.

I've still spent over £50 on three pairs of tights though! Shock gulp...

Btw MrsA.... Mustard tights are great and if you've got good legs I'd say go for it!

You can get tights that cost thirty pounds? Bloody hell. This section is an education. I've never seen any that were more than twelve and I thought they were having a laugh.

Meh, is that a reusable code?! If so, please share.

I track down tights at tk maxx usually, and now UniQlo.

But falke are my fave.

Yes I'd like that code too if possible.
