Buying children's shoes for myself

I just tried on ds's new school shoes (he now takes 7.5 - the same size as me ) and they are soooo comfy. Look nice, too.

Clarks do kids' shoes in a range of width fittings up to size 9 or 10. I have wide, awkward feet. WIBU to buy shoes from their kids' ranges for myself?

I've also been considering buying kids shoes as I'm a size 4/5 and some of the kids ones are really nice! xx

Good idea. DS tried on a lovely pair of brogue style school shoes, which were much softer than the ladies' fashion ones and about £20 cheaper.

Quick question if anyone knows - I have the Hamble Oak in a 4E (adult) is the F & G fitting for children even wider? (would be great if it was with my hobbit feet, but can't see how it would be )

Cointreau, I don't have tiny feet! Quite the opposite: I have wide, large feet. I generally find size 7.5 ladies' shoes too narrow.

I'm a size 3 so I've bought a lot of children's shoes over the years, I tend to buy boys trainers rather than adult ones, converse go up to quite a high size in 'children' ranges, but for a fraction of the price. Mini Boden go up to size 42 (is that a size 9?) and I've got ballet pumps from them rather than the adult ranges. (I currently have my eye on a pair of flat ankle boots in mini Boden, I just don't need any more boots...)

I take a size 3 (Sketchers size 2!)so often get children's shoes for every day shoes. Big savings when it comes to things like Converse and Hunters too!

I do this all the time too, am a size 3, normally boys trainers or girls shoes from H & M. I like the styles, they are generally wide fit which suits my feet and I like not paying vat.

I'm a 3.5 and always buy kids trainers - the last pair I saved £40 as the adults version was exactly the same.

I'm a 3/36 and I often buy kids shoes - they're normally a bit wider, and cheaper - you do have to watch high boots though, as the openings can be a bit too tiny for an adult leg.

Chunkypickle - I hadnt thought of that issue with knee highs! I quite like some in the mini Boden range but worried they wouldn't come high enough up my leg.
