Next relaxed skinnies. Apparently I'm now a size 8! There I was thrilled that Banana Republic size 12 shorts were comfy...

Next are ridiculous at the moment, I tried on some size 8 work trousers the other day and they were too large. I'm a 10 normally.

Absolutely agree, I'm a 10. Had to buy a 6 in Next a couple of weeks ago. Madness.

It is the same in Monsoon. I tried on my normal size and it was literally falling off me, so bought one two sizes down.

When paying, I mentioned that the sizes came up big (secretly hoping that she would say they didn't) and, alas, she agreed that they do!

The whole thing is crazy now; I've lost weight and having difficulty knowing what size fits, so I've given up looking at sizes and just go by if the clothes fit or not (though I can't be bothered to try them on). Just return them if not right.

Yeah, I went with my friend for our annual Next work clothes buying pilgrimage. The size 6 was miles too big for both of us. Both really 8-10. We left empty handed. I wonder if they realise they are losing so much custom?

I'm actually loving Next vanity sizing at the moment as I can kid myself that I'm back to my pre pregnancy size 8. I ignore the fact that if I try to put my size 8 topshop jeans on I can barely get my little toe in them Smile.

RambleOn I would guess that Next gets loads more people soo happy that they fit a size 6 !!! duh

Oh yes, I forgot about Monsoon. I'm looking for a wedding guest outfit at the moment and Monsoon size 8 dresses were too big despite me being 32f

Sorry, bunny, did I say vanity? I of course meant "completely realistic" Wink

Yes, I'm loving my size 8s, now I just need a belt to avoid a builder's crack...

Dancing You'll have to buy kiddies' clothes like DD who is a proper 6. It does hve its advantages though; those small sizes and exbig sizes are the only ones left Grin

I bought size 10 jeans in next recently. Hanging off me. I'm a size 12 in normal sized shops. Measured the waist and it's 32 inches!

Yes those jeans are huge. I'm a ten in them

I needed a size 4 skirt in Uniqlo yesterday. I'm an 8, occasionally 10. Where do the genuinely slim women shop?

Nexts relaxed skinnies are ridiculous though.....and it may come as a shock to people when they try a different style of jeans there and discover they have to go up two sizes! That happened to me my friend! Shock

yup, M&S are in on it too. Got a dress from there recently in a 10, and I'm definitely not a 10!

Cartoon I tried on the regular skinnies at the same time and the 10 wouldn't go past my knees and the 12 wouldn't pass mid thigh.

I had to put a belt on the relaxed skinnies today because I could take them off without opening them.
