TK maxx usually has plenty of leather bags for that kind of price range. I've had a few, can't remember the brands but they have all been decent and lasted quite a long time. If you have no store nearby, you can order online

and no, you aren't too poor for this board, no one is Smile Thanks

I have been looking for a leather bag for a few weeks now and bought one in tk maxx in the end, but that's hit and miss.

Other shops which had leather bags for around £50 was
Next
Oasis
M & S
Asos

But they only had 1-2 bags.

You should be able to pick up an Osprey bag in TKMaxx for that.

Another bag thread Smile

LEM, TKMaxx is absolute go to place for a £50 bag. I wouldn't even bother looking anywhere else. Have you looked on the website? There are some gorgeous one son there at the moment. Think you said you wanted a cross body one? There's a lovely Pierre Cardin one on there. Agree with Osprey recommendation. I used one of their purses (a tkmaxx bargain) for a couple of years. Pierre Cardin is also good. Actually one of my nicest and long lasting bags is a Next one that I got as a gift, so I would check them out too.

Definitely doable, I have loads around that price mark. My latest one arrived this week and was £50 including delivery from &other stories

I have a nice one from Fat Face actually, wouldn't usually have looked in ther as thought it was all fabric types, but it's nice quality. Don't know what style you're after, but have a few cross body types around that price, different colours.

Ok, don't think it let me link to the individual bags, but you can see them all on there!

Sootgremlin - i had the leather satchel from fatface in my hand but it wasn't big enough, i also looked at one of the oiled ones, reduced to £20 from £30 in the sale, again to small (i love fatface) but in the end i sold my soul to the devil and went next door to Cath Kidstone, bought a lovely flowery affair. Rather wish i didn't click on your links though, theres some lovely bags on there, really nice quality too.

I thought the bags in tk max were dire tbh.

I must admit I hate having to sift through the bags in tk maxx, but a colleague suggested I give it a go.

I work near to maxx in high street Kensington, so they sell the expensive stuff there. My bag on a display end. It has a lovely leathery smell and I can't wait to start using it, but it's a birthday present and my birthday is a few weeks away.

All of the non leather bags I've had over recent years have started to fall apart within a few weeks of buying them. I want something that will last a bit longer.

I have bought some good leather bags in the Boden sales and clearance for about £50, sometimes less. My last one I got was the navy bowling bag for £55 so its worth looking on there. Also Marks and Spencers sale as you can sometimes get a good Autograph one half price.

I usually look to see what I like then when they are reduced buy them and have built up a good collection for all occasions.
