Hooded Work Coat

Hi,

I need a new work coat as autumn approaches. I quite fancy a classic trench (but will consider other styles) maybe black, maybe tan and have seen lots of lovely ones. The thing is that the only one I can find with a hood is the Burberry one at almost £600 Shock

I work in a smart City office and it is suits all the way.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Im lovving this one from marks and spencer.

Ive tried it on and although its from petite range im usually a 14 and the 14 fitted perfectly. Dont think they do it in the usual size range. Looks good with jeans and converse to aswell as dressed up for work which is a bonus.

Following with interest....always find it a real struggle to find an autumn/winter smart coat with a hood that isn't a duffel coat or parka.

That m&s S one I'd exactly the kind of thing!

I am sceptical though as I am 5ft 7 and have what DP refers to as 'albatross arms'
Sad

Hmm, not much out there unless you're 6! Found these but might not be what you're after.

I have the exact same issue. I want a beautiful winter coat for work, but it must have a hood. I also lust after the Burberry one!

Here are my finds so far -

Cos
Michael Kors
Vince

I'm probably going to get the Cos one.

Am I right in thinking that the Reiss one doesn't button up... Grin

Am I really asking too much of a work suitable coat that I can wear when I collect DD from nursery, on the way home, in the rain...

...so grumpy I tweeted M&S

Annoyingly the MK one might fit the bill....was only thinking this afternoon how ubiquitous the brand has become

Ho hum...

Yes the MK one is really nice. It doesn't scream 'MK' and will be good quality. You don't have to get a blingy bag to go with it! I can't find a Uk stockist, just beware of taxes if you order from a US site.

Will have to keep an eye out and hope it comes back into stock very soon.

I've just ordered the Cos one. I read somewhere fashiony that August is the best time to buy a winter coat as the best ones sell out Smile Plus I've lusted after Cos coats for a couple of years and missed out on the version last year as it sold out early on.

I'd like a hooded trench for autumn too but having spent £££ on the Cos wool one I can't justify it.
