Too studenty for a mid twenties mum?

I have this un-explainable and overwhelming desire to buy it even though I'm not too sure if I actually like it

Aww come on, mid-twenties isn't that far off a student. I'm on the latter side of mid-twenties and I haven't got out the twin set and pearls yet, mum or not.

I will say that the pile jacket in your link is pretty drab. It looks kind of bin-baggy in shape. The furry sagginess makes me think of a fat Muppet. (You did say you didn't know if you liked it, I'm not trying to be harsh ).

However, it depends on whether you like it and how you would style it. I don't think it would be as warm as it looks, if warmth is what you're after.

I have a lovely Didricksons parka and am looking for a warm and casual coat for the nursery run. I tend to wear jeans and Vans daily (yes, I am very boring). I'm a comfort over style person so it's probably the bin baggy and warm look of the coat that is reaching out to me.

But I have to agree that it is very drab. I think I need to start branching out with what I wear. I'm clearly on that slippery slope that leads to an appearance on a Gok Wan show

It is a very warm and comfy looking jacket, I'll give you that.

Mumsnetters will be able to help you out on all things warm, comfy and practical. I'm afraid I will be as useful as a chocolate teapot as I buy silly coats which are pretty to me but entirely lacking in comfort or warmth.

I hadn't thought of the static! And I have thick curly hair too so that would be a nightmare.

This has been a wake up call for me. I'm going to have to get out of the vans and jeans to avoid becoming a bag lady lookalike in the future.

I don't think it is too bad but it might end up looking a bit like a wolf fleece without wolves on it. Mid-20s is still young!

I really like Vans, actually. I have leopard print skate hi-tops - now THEY are pushing it for a 27 year old!

I think if you're doing the nursery run, you probably need something with a hood. Something that nips in at the waist a bit for more of a styled look?

I have this! It arrived yesterday not sure if it's too big though and only two sizes, gonna go and try the smaller one if thy had it later. Going camping this week so hopefully it's warm.

I got it to wear with my oversized fedora, black skinniest and black Chelsea boots.
