Aye...

beachyhead · 08/08/2014 19:27

Lordy Lordy.... I have made a mistake with the Tesco wine order. I appear to have 6 bottles of LOW ALCOHOL WINE ConfusedWineBlush

It will have to be quietly fobbed off on teenage parties, to save them from themselves, you understand!

Forest boy has requested Chinese. The girls have gone to parties (more stamina!)

MrsSchadenfreude · 08/08/2014 19:33

We need to pack for our holiday. Half of the weather forecasts for next week say it is going to rain every day, and the other half say it is going to be nice.

Yes, Beachy, give it to the teens, decanted into a jug so they don't know...

Thank you for the new thread, MrsS.

Well if you will do strange, energetic things, BTM. Grin Your meals sound lovely, by the way.

Any news yet, MI, of you know what? At least you are enjoying your child free time.

All the holidays sound great - good luck to everyone who is travelling.

herbaceous · 08/08/2014 19:48

I'm going out tonight! It was supposed to be an en-masse NCT meet-up, but looks there'll only be two of us. However, she's one of my favourites, so it will be a good night out anyway. And I'm wearing my natty new brogues!

We don't seem to have done much in the way of Trousers of Truth klaxons, no doubt due to holiday overindulgence, but I just about did up said trousers this morning! And some other size 12s.

DP is on a mega-diet - he wants to lose three (3, iii) stone by Christmas, and has set up a Just Giving page to spur him on. We shall see...

MontserratCaballe · 08/08/2014 19:53

Thanks for the thread, MrsS Smile

BTM, I want your food! Your holiday sounds fab, if a bit energetic for a lazy article like me.

Rose, I am off to Devon in the morning. Unlike MrsS, though, the forecast for all of next week is rain every day! I can't believe it. As we are going on to Cornwall the following week, we can't even come home. So annoyed. The summer has been so fab, but typically the weather has to change just when we need sunshine. Looks like I will be needing some of Beachy's LA wine to cheer me up. Perhaps with a gin chaser....

MI, I hope you now have something red and shiny in your hot hand Shock. Let us know.

Right, done DD1 and DS packing. DD2 and my stuff await. Dh can do his own, natch.

MontserratCaballe · 08/08/2014 19:54

Fab brogues, Herbs. I love a bit of Clarks.

I am taking the shorts of shame with me to spur me on. Given the forecast, it doesn't look like I will be needing them though.

bigTillyMint · 08/08/2014 20:00

Oh no BFF is going to Devon and she badly needs a good hol. Hope the forecasts are wrong.

MrsS where are you off to now?

Beachy, LA wine! Just pour some voddy in itGrin

Off to get some street food for lunch, having already snarfed some fresh donuts and freshly sliced mango!

beachyhead · 08/08/2014 20:30

MI, red and shiny, Arf Arf Smile

MollyAir · 08/08/2014 20:34

Those are nice brogues, Herbs.

How will they send out the you-know-what, MI? Will you have to be at home to sign for it?

Blackduck · 08/08/2014 21:31

I saw a photo of me on FB and nearly died - back on a serious diet!

I think the gym might beckon.
This weekend - pack up bathroom, take down photos. Pack ready to go next weekend.

MI - news?

motherinferior · 08/08/2014 21:35

Monty, you are so Crepey. Clarks, the footwear of choice.Grin

And no it bloody hasn't. Realistically it wasn't going to today even if - and I slightly doubt this - fingers are pulled out the minute K's letter hit someone's desk. I shall remain within doors on Monday. I can't face the idea of incarceration all day tomorrow, not when I can roam free through the wilds of the metropolis (ie trip to Bravissimo and then afternoon coffee and cake with a friend).

cremolafoam · 08/08/2014 21:38

Place mark
Hi to new crepesters bienvenue !
Thanks for good wishes . Am already loving peace of Donegal .

CointreauVersial · 08/08/2014 21:44

Aygust?? Confused

Monty - if it makes you feel any better....the day before we left, we looked at the forecast for our week in Cornwall and it forecasted rain every single day. Then we'd check the forecast each evening only to find that the following day had miraculously cleared up. In the end we only had one horrible day. Sometimes showers are so localised there's no guarantee you'll cop it, even if it's raining nearby, and I'm sure the long term forecasts are unduly pessimistic. But take waterproofs and some card games just in case

MrsSchadenfreude · 08/08/2014 22:32

Yes, it's a new month, CV.

Am creeping into the crepe as a real newbie here - have posted but am mostly lurking to try (HA!) to catch up!

Beachy - ordering LA wine is a mistake that you will only make once!

Just hope the weather forecasts are as wrong as ever for all of you going of on hols.

The forecast for us today was dire, but we went to Brighton & met old buddies & partook of wine & food & then lay on the beach (cloudy but v hot) for the rest of the afternoon & then repaired to the pub again! Hic! Rubbish forecast - did not need to sweat around with rain coat all day.

MI - Am crossing all digits that passports arrive tomorrow.

Auriga · 08/08/2014 23:44

Had to work in Canterbury this pm and got caught in torrential rain/spray on the way there and back. Sunny in between.

Visitors had great day in London with not a drop of rain. We're singing at a wedding tomorrow, so fingers crossed (xxx). I'm looking forward to it, love a good wedding, even if we do have to sing Rutter Hmm

Cremo, lovely to see you. Peace in Donegal sounds good.

BTM hope legs are recovering.

bigTillyMint · 08/08/2014 23:48

Mahoosive thunderstorm here at lunchtime- we cowered in our rooms and then went for a very late lunch! Then a tour of Granada in a horse-drawn carriage - driver let DD take the reins (wont be rushing to get her a drivers licence!) I loved it - such a pretty place. And now having 241 cocktails @ less than 1 for 2 in yet another gorgeous courtyard barSmile

bigTillyMint · 08/08/2014 23:50

I am hoping the alcohol numbs the pain as my legs are worse today than they were yesterday!

CointreauVersial · 09/08/2014 00:00

Two hundred and forty-one cocktails, BTM?

bigTillyMint · 09/08/2014 00:06

Grin I could try!

Help.

Me.

Too much wine, and irresponsible chat.

I fear tomorrow.

bigTillyMint · 09/08/2014 02:14

Oh Herbs, something happen on your night out?

MontserratCaballe · 09/08/2014 05:42

Herbs, I hope you are just fearing a sore head rather than anything more sinister. Love the irresponsible chat.

BTM, hope the cocktails have worked their magic on your sore legs.

Auriga, fingers crossed for a dry wedding (not in the low alcohol sense, of course!)

I am about to leap into action. OVercast but not yet pouring in SE London. CV, greatly cheered by your tales of localised bad weather. We should be on the road by 7 at the latest. Bon voyage to other travelling crepeys and see you 250 miles down the road.
